my tv (sony bravia KDL-46XBR45) is showing vertical lines, all evenly space, but only on hdmi and tv, not on the menu screen.

I hope you can help me. I am a newbie in the TV repair area, I have a SONY Bravia KDL-46HX800 which it is in standby and when I want to turn on, the lights turns green and after 2 seconds it turns red and blinks 4 times.

I have been googling it and I could dissassemble and make sure it has 3.3v in the stand by pin. I would like to identify which board (Power Supply, main board or led driver) is the defective one so I can order a replacement.

I heard it a power board problem, and I changed it by buying a new one from ebay.

But I still have the same problem.

Since sometime this morning, the screen has begun to periodically go black. It’s like this…

Turn tv on, screen/sound works, screen goes black while sound continues, green light starts blinking, screen comes back on, repeat.

We tried unplugging, changing display settings, etc etc. Any other advice on how to fix this issue?

I have a Sony 46HX800 with 4 blinking red lights with no backlight, no image , as per the manual it says I need to check PANEL_FAIL at JL2565 (it is weird thast that connector does not have any cable connected so I assume the PANEL_FAIL signal comes from the LVDS cable). I am getting 3.3v for 2 seconds and then it shutsdown.

The only way I can bypass the 4 lights is if I disconnect the cable between the TCON board and LD board. I have changed the LD board but still the same issue. So I think it is an issue with the BAL board. If someone can give me how can I troubleshoot the BAL board, I would appreciate.

Also I have checked the PIN 77 (BL_ON) in the MIMAS chip and there is no voltage and PIN 78 (PANEL_VSYNC) gives 3.2 v for 2 seconds and then 1.6v for one second before the shutdown with 4 red lights.

I have a Sony LED TV KDL-46HX800, It does not have backlight at all, when I try to turn it on, the it shows the green light for 3 seconds and then the red light blinks 4 times.

These are my new findings, I managed to bridge standby and power on and the led on pins a and tested all voltages on the power board, all voltages are OK even the ones that goes to the LED Driver, so no (LED_ON, VLED_VCC, GL_ERROR, 12V, GND) . I can see 3.3v, 12v and 24v. so power supply seems OK.

So I am thinking that this could be a main board or could be a LED driver board

II could not get backlights but if I disconnect the cable that goes from the led driver board to the t-con board, the tv turns on (no backlight and video) but I get sound, so looks like the main board is fine.
