Original owner said was running fine then one day was leaking water from the bottom. and no water/coffee brew was coming out of the nozzles. The original purchaser (a company) gave it to an employee and bought a new one.

The employee tore it down and changed a piece of tubeing (i dont know which one) and now now it dosnt work.

You turn it on and it does its normal thing. It starts up and when it says ready, it grins beans drops it in the brew group, compresses it and dumps it in the waste tray almost dry and no water from the nozzels at all. Capp Spout is working fine with water etc. The nozzels you can hear it burbling, but nothing comes out. The machine is now leaking hot clean water all over the bench.

You can hear, that the machine is doing exactly and sounding exactly as it should. the pump is going the grinder is going etc.

so its on my bench torn down from your instructions on this site which are blinking brilliant! thankyou thankyou thankyou.

Before (and still now if i put it back together) there is no fault code.

There is no obvious blockage. There is no damaged pipes that i can see, no water leaking now anywhere.

Right so the interesting thing is: when i dissassembled the machine I found two things.

Step one two and three show a white formed plastic part with a hose attached. I dont have that. neither the hose or the white plastic part or the nozzle that attaches the hose to the brew group. I just have a arm that goes over the big hole in the top of the brew group. There is a spot that a hose joiner can go, but there is not one there. (if i can upload a photo i will¬!)

also on step ten show a hose from the drainage valve. I do not have one. (as a question, if the drainage valve was taken apart (which i dont think the brew group was taken out before as its screws look perfect and untouched not like the other side of the machine where you can see they have been undone). but if the drainage valve was taken apart and somehow put backwards would that stop the flow of water?)

If I had a hose diagram i would be able to check where it is routed wrongly!

At present i can trace the water tubing from one item in the machine to the other, and all looks same in the images on the teardown that i can see. I can only assume it is from the very point that the water has to go into the brew group?? I can see a position where the drainage valve at the bottom of the brew group lodges into a socket that goes to the other side of the machine. I (think) that is where the water comes from?

Ok. Well Heres hoping all will be well, i dont have enough experience with how the machine is working to know where to look next. any ideas and also advise would be greatly appreaciated!

I have even removed the frother assembly from silver pipe but same result.

Please suggest what is the problem.

Not very visible on the picture, but you can hear it build up pressure and then hot water rushes out towards the back.

I ordered a new drainage valve (the machine is 15+ years old) but had the same issue with the new part.
I double-checked that all outflow tubes were free of clogging but found the 'spring-loaded pipe' to be rather ... "strong".

After removing that part from the tube things rinse and brew fine again but the coffee has lost its 'crema' effect.
I may try to re-assemble the thing using a less strong spring, still not sure how comes this suddenly became an issue ...

For starters: thanks for the response! However, before I start unscrewing everything, some remarks. Please correct me if my thinking is wrong

The flowmeter is clogged

From what I can tell, the flowmeter sits BEFORE the pump. As things work fine without the crema valve I don't think the inlet part of the circuit is to blame. In fact, with the crema-valve installed, the pressure builds up to a level too high for the drainage valve to handle (see video below).

The pump is weak

Hmm... since water escapes through the drainage valve in a rather spectacular way I'm inclined to think the pump is still going strong; sounds fine too.

The solenoid magnet for the drainage valve doesn't work as it should

I had been thinking about this one too, but from what I can tell the rod operated by the solenoid 'hides' during operation and only 'pushes out' during the cleaning phase when water is supposed to flow out of the bottom. Visibly, the drainage valve is able to make the full distance (see video below). The solenoid is also one of the loudest elements in the machine and works with a 'satisfactory clack sound' all the time.

The ceramic valve doesn't work as it should

I'm not familiar with this part but the guide seem to imply that this item is located before the drainage valve. If so, I'm again not convinced this is would be the problem. (Also, my Xs90 has very distinct hoses/connectors for all things on the high-pressure elements that do not correspond to what I see in the guide, but maybe this differs by model?).

The outlet valve doesn't work as it should

I'm having trouble getting from step 8 to 9 in that guide and reconciling it with what I find in my Xs90. That said, I'll open her up one more time (**) and try to look for a similar element.

The thing is that I can't really get my head around the 'symptoms' I'm facing here

• when the crema valve is installed, the machine is pumping hot water into the brewing unit but the water appears to fail to make its way out again via the expected 'outflow' and will burst out the drainage valve's backside instead (read: in the direction of the solenoid). All water escapes likes this, no water makes it through the grounds all the way to the sprouts/waiting coffee cup. Once the machine is done, the grounds are dumped almost entirely dry in the waste bin
• when the crema valve is removed, the machine pumps water through just fine, but the coffee is tasting rather 'watery' and I have the impression it also sends about 20% less water through volume-wise. The coffee grounds are 'soaked' as expected.

I took a video of what happens when I run the rinse-cycle VID_20241229_164727.mp4.

Normally it should pump the water through the (empty) brewing unit but instead the water escapes through the back of the -- newly bought -- drainage valve until the solenoid kicks in and then the remainder 'blasts' from the front-pipe (not visible in the video but you can hear it and see the steam around 0:23). This is all with the crema-valve installed; without it, water runs its intended course without issue.

I'm considering shortening the spring on the crema valve by 1mm to take away some of its strength and see if that makes any difference... worst case I have to order a new one eventually (or consider the machine a loss =( ).

All in all I honestly don't get why this became an issue... it's not like the spring can have become stronger over time; tempering steel requires slightly higher temperatures IIRC and I double-checked the drainage valves' rubber gaskets and they are aligned properly (both the old and the new one).

Unfortunately it also make a very loud noise as if something is stuck at the end of the coffee making cycle. Its almost certainly something I have done wrong in re-assemble but everything seems to work (Coffee good, coffee grind where it should be and no obvious leaks etc.) Any ideas on what this might be?

Jura F50. Water is not going through the coffee. Hence no cups of fresh coffee. What could be blocking the water flow?

So, i just bought a Jura Giga 7Xc professional Coffee maker second hånd for my company. Previously it has been connected to direct Water supply - but it also has the funktion to supply Water from Watertank. However Jura has told me that i need to send it to the to have it reprogrammed - can that be real? Is there no way for me to access this menu to Change it?😄

If i just start it with power connected to it, it will keep telling me that the machine is filling no matter what i press..
