Jensen JTA-230: Why wont the turntable platter spin?

When I try to power on my record player, the turntable platter wont spin. It doesn't spin regardless if the record is on it or not, so no music plays. What should I do to fix this?

1) The tone arm seems too lightweight and skips and skates over my records.

2) The turntable does not spin at an even rate. I am not referring to pitch control. I can clearly hear that the record is not playing evenly.

Jensen JTA-230: Records playing too fast - getting a chipmunk sound.

I accidentally closed the lid on the arm, thinking the arm had already been secured. Since then, playing multiple different records, the record will play normally and then speed up every few seconds. This results in an Alvin & The Chipmunks-esque sound. I stopped playing records on it after trying a couple to make sure this was happening consistently, not wanting to permanently damage any of my records.

Is this a problem with the arm directly or should I replace the needle?

Jensen JTA-230: Why won’t regular headphones and earbuds fit in the headphone jack

We recently purchased this model turntable specifically because it has the built-in headphone jack. However, regular headphones/earbuds won’t fit the jack. Do I need to buy an adapter or return it?

Jensen JTA-230: Turntable not powering ,while connected

Have Purchased Jensen JTA 230, it was working perfectly with an voltage adapter step down 220V (since am using in INDIA ,where power supply is 220V).

It was working properly for 1 year , but suddenly it stopped working . Not able to know the reason , as the adapter is working properly (checked in the local store) but turn table is not working .

Please help here with some input .
