2013-2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK): Strong fuel smell outside jeep

Hi

We park our jeep in the garage under the house. For the past couple months, there has been a strong gasoline smell in the garage and even somewhat upstairs. It’s definitely coming from the jeep.

Most likely candidate was a faulty gas cap, but I have replaced that. Took it to a local mechanic where they smoke test tested the fuel system and said they found no leaks.

But the smell persists

Any other thoughts on what could be causing this?
