Jeep Patriot: How to fix/replace radio

I guess I need to replace the factory radio in my 2015 Jeep Patriot. Months ago I started getting nearly only static on all stations. The seek button will settle on a station, and if I by chance am able to hear any of the audio, it's actually on a different station than what it says. But most of the time I can't hear anything other than static. There was never any power interruption, and the satellite radio comes in fine, so it's nothing wrong with the speakers.
I went to Car Toys and they said it would probably cost me a couple grand for a new one and for parts and labor.
How difficult is it actually to find a compatible one and install it myself?

I have a 2016 Jeep Patriot Latitude 2.0 and the air conditioner won't come on anymore, when i try to turn it on using the control panel nothing works no air comes from the vents at all so i replaced the blower motor, still nothing, replaced the blower motor resistor and still nothing, went to junk yard and got another control panel and still NOTHING ( now there is a possibility that the control panel i bought from the junk yard doesn't work so that is my next step is to get another one) but I was wondering if anyone else could give me any ideas of any other reason it could not be working? Oh and we checked all the fuses and the blower motor relay and all seem to work fine. My husband also says he can hear like the compressor try to come on but we don't feel anything because the blower motor isn't coming on even after replacing it with a brand new one from Autozone.

Every diagram i have searched does not indicate a proper location or clear.

Jeep told me it was behind the felt against the cab.

So im bought a used 2015 jeep patriot and the radio sorta works the volume doesn’t go up but goes down, but then if I switch it to aux or disk I can turn it up, but even though I don’t get anything from the radio, even if the volume is on, but then when it’s on aux or disc, it’ll play for me four seconds and then it’ll short out and you can hear it in the speakers makes almost like a click sound and it stops for a second or two and then it starts back up, starts playing music then shorts out again and I don’t know what the problem is as I’m a sort of new car owner. It’s my first car and i dont know if i should take it in or replace the radio.
