JBL Xtreme 2: Replacing a JBL xtreme 2 speaker?

I need to know how to replace a JBL Xtreme2 Speaker BATTERY?

Also can you tell me what and where my JBL+ button is or looks like?

I was trying to reset the speaker but i don’t know what a jbl+ button is?

Everything i tried hasn’t worked thus far, no indicator lights come on, won’t power on, nothing! So i can only assume it needs a new battery?

The online guide for battery replacement, doesn’t look anything like my JBL speaker! Grrrr! Lol.

JBL Xtreme 2: Something is burnt on the motherboard and low frequencies are gone.

There's a burnt metallic smell coming from the speaker and there are no low frequencies present anymore. I disassembled the speaker to find 2 burnt spots on the mother board. Have no clue what they are, but I was wondering what might've caused it and is it better to buy a new board, or try and fix it myself... somehow.

JBL Xtreme 2: Speaker turns itself off seconds after being turned on.

so here's what i know.

1. the speaker turns itself off after being turned on.
it shows a full battery (5 white leds), beeps the "bluetooth connection beep" twice, then turns off with the shutoff sound
2. when connected to the charger, it doesn't turn on at all
3. suspected a swollen battery, but the battery seems completely fine visually
4. removed the 2 big speakers to visually inspect the main board, couldn't notice anything out of the ordinary, no burnt traces, no swollen capacitors or anything
5. last ditch effort, tried plugging the charger in with battery removed, no response at all

the speaker is about 3 years old, 1 year out of warranty and functioned perfectly until one day it just wouldn't turn on.
I don't have access to a multimeter, but if that would help, I could borrow one

JBL Xtreme 2: Jbl xtreme 2 won't charge and won't connect to BT

My jbl xtreme 2 was doing OK and stopped working one morning. I had it plugged up for about 3 or 4 days figured it would be fine with over charge protection. But one day I unplugged it and it turned straight off and it wouldn't turn on. So I plug it back up and it turns on… but the volume up n down doesn't work , the BT doesn't work the pairing to other speakers won't work.. basically all the top buttons won't function.. the battery light blinks one light. And the speaker only works with aux cable connection that's it. But the volume on the speaker itself doesn't work even when running aux.. so the TV only can change the volume. Iv tried reseting it still no fix…. So I'm wondering is it the main logic/mother board or is it the charging board that went bad?? The battery seems OK but who knows… I can get spare parts off ebay ect if need be. Anyone else had this prob before??

JBL Xtreme 2: Power button only works sporadically when on battery

I have a JBL Xtreme 2 music speaker where the on/off button only works sporadically for turning it on.

When it finally is turned on the button always (as in 100% if the time) works when turning it off.

If the speaker is plugged into an outlet using the charger the button instantly turns on the speaker.

So to recap: When wanting to turn the speaker on when it runs on battery, the button only works sporadically - as in I have to pres the button 3 to 10 times before it turns on. The button works 100% of the time for turning it off or for turning it on, when it is plugged in via the charger.

Once the speaker is turned on the battery can keep it playing for hours and hours... So I do not see this as a battery issue.

The speaker has always been used in our bathroom sitting on top of a closet furthest away from the shower, so it has been exposed to some moisture.

Any suggestions as to what the cause could be?

ChatGPT suggested a slightly corroded connection on the power on button - but would love to hear from people here as well.

JBL Xtreme 2: Charging but no charging indicator’s

I have this Jbl Xtreme 2 that had no other issues other than when plugged in with the charger no light indicators at the bottom turn on/light up as well as the power button at the top doesn’t turn on or flash but would still charge regardless and recently I’ve tried resetting it to try and fix it, but accidentally held the wrong buttons and put it into stationary mode and because of this problem when plugged in it thinks that it’s not being powered or charged and I can’t get it out of stationary mode because of it. Could this be something to do with the power connecter inside or a motherboard issue?
