JBL Pulse 2: blinking lights after pressing bluetooth button

opened box and turned on the speaker. as soon as I press the bluetooth button, the lightshow button starts blinking and speaker will not connect in bluetooth screen on my phone. thought it was defective so I went to exchange it, but then the seller got it working the same way that I was trying to do it. listened to music on the speaker on the way home, but before i made it home, the light show, and the lightshow button started blinking. connection lost and won't show up on paired list on my phone.

returned it and bought another Pulse 2 at a different sellers location. explained the issue to the seller before i left the store and they showed me that it works.

got home, tried to pair my wife's phone, pressed the bluetooth button on speaker, same issue.

this is my second pulse 2 purchased from a different seller but has the same exact problem. made sure device is fully charged, turned on and off speaker over and over, tried to do the reset that works for the Pulse, doesn't work on Pulse2. Tried while speaker is plugged in as well.

no answers online, no response from JBL, nothing. someone please help! i just want some answers, it worked before and now it doesn't work. same issue with two separate speakers purchased from 2 separate locations... WTF!

JBL Pulse 2: JBL Connect drawing App malfunctions, no effects

The drawing function (last one on the right) in the Android JBL CONNECT App V 1.7.3.4 doesn't produce any drawings on the speaker, the only effect after drawing eg "Hi" on the screen is that the lights go off and a 2cm orange stripe appears in the rear part on the bottom... Very disappointing ...and I already updated it to the newest version from Aug 2016. Any idea what's wrong?

JBL Pulse 2: My speaker wont turn on after a drop

is there anyway to fix the speaker it took a drop from a plastic JD bag after ripping i get home to find the charging lights at least dont work and the speaker wont turn on anymore. suspected battery failure or out of place chip. i use anker cables and the JBL power brick to charge the speaker i have tried everything to get it to turn on.

Although it was a bad idea i have started to disassemble the speaker to see if i can fix it my self i have only removed the screws and plastic covering the screws before i stopped though i realise that voids the warranty.

The speaker is a huge part of my day to day life since it was bought last December and is needed asap even if your only reply is 'get a new one' the comment is much appreciated thanks.

Also thoughts on the Bose sound link mini 2 and the JBL charge 2

JBL Pulse 2: Charging port bent or broken. Help?

The charging port on my JBL Pulse 2 is a micro-usb. I went to unplug it a few days ago, but the included cable's male end came out of the cord itself and was stuck in the pulse. I just took a pair of tweezers and shimmied it out. I replaced the cord. Now when I go to charge it, sometimes it charges, sometimes not, and when it does I have to angle the charger up or down. Does anyone know how I could fix this? All help is appreciated!

JBL Pulse 2: Won't turn on before and after replace charging port

My friend’s JBL Pulse 2 had broken charging port. When you pressed the power button it still did flashed lights and gived the startup sound, but power LED wasn’t staying on. After dissasembly the speaker i found that chargin port was completely detached from the board. I replaced the charging port but there was no reaction on the speaker (should light up the leds on the right side. I opened the speaker more to get access to the mainboard and i measured the voltage of the battery, it was 3.2V only. I connected the battery to lab power supply and i charged it slowly by 100mA up to 4.2V as it should be. Still, the speaker only blinks with lights and gives the startup sound, not remains on. What may be the reason?

JBL Pulse 2: JBL Pulse4 speaker connected to Chromebook but no sound

Hi, Im pulling my hair out trying to figure out wth is going on here. I have both a BRAND NEW HP Chromebook and a BRAND NEW JBL Pulse4 Bluetooth Speaker. I have repeatedly tried doing the same simple steps over and over with absolutely zero luck!!! Although I am able to pair and connect my speaker to my Chromebook, but still there is NO SOUND!!! The connected to speaker sound does chime when they connect, but my videos, music will not be played through the speaker. Is anyone out there privy to the secret to how to get these two devices to interact? It would be wonderful to be able to use both before they are obsolete and out of style!!! Thank you for any help!!! Cordially, Constance Wilson

JBL Pulse 2: Turns on, but won’t connect via Bluetooth nor play music w/ aux cord

I had a trouble getting my JBL Pulse 2 to charge last week, and when I finally got it working and turned it on, it refuses to connect via Bluetooth. When I press the Bluetooth button, the crazy light show starts as mentioned in other comments. I decided to see what happens when I connect the speaker manually using an aux cord from my phone directly into the aux port of the speaker…. no sound!! Is there any fix for this?! I really enjoy how this speaker lights up but very disappointed in how fast this product stopped working. JBL has said it is out of warranty (was purchased as a gift to me at the beginning of January 2017) so no luck there. Thank you in advanced!
