I was charging my speaker and when I decided to use it, it didn't hold any power. Lights do not work. I tried resetting it but it won't work. I've pressed the play/pause button and volume button simultaneously for 5 seconds and then again a little longer, and nothing works. I've only had this for a little over a year. What do I do? Buy a new one?

Hello, i’ve just putted my JBL Flip 5 to charge because it wasn’t fully charged.

After i wanted to use it, and it doesn’t work as it should, i can only turn it off and turn it on, i can’t even factory reset it

No lights and not detected by Bluetooth, when i’m charging or turning on. Only the typical sound of JBL when i turn it on/off.

Does someone have an idea?

my flip 5 whenever connected to my or anyone phone seems to play the music perfectly for about 3 minutes then starts skipping every 3-5 seconds. I have already tried JBL support and factory resetting it. Any Ideas?

JBL Flip 5: Turns on for a second, then shuts off

The speaker turns on, makes the power up sound, but only the battery level indicator lights up, showing 90% charged. But the power button doesn’t light up, nor does the Bluetooth button. The battery light goes out, but when I press the bt button it lights up again for a couple seconds, but no bt light, and it doesn’t show up on any device I’ve tried, nor the app. I’ve tried all the reset options and the service mode process, but no luck. Party chain lights don’t seem to work either. Please help….

Hello Together,

I've got used speaker. I've discovered that the battery was not there so I've ordered new one. New one arrived - I've measured DC - everything is fine with battery itself.

Usb-C charging - works. Around 0,5 A current during charging.

Unfortunately - there is no lights/no response to buttons.

What I've discovered is that I do not have 3,3 V on this small board which is connected via ribbon cable [the one with 2 buttons Blueetoth/Power and LEDs].

Voltage which is there is 0,8 V.

Where to look for problem? Do You have any idea?

My flip5 speaker is pushing out sound which is broken up like when u have a bad connection on a phone call and can only hear broken up pieces of the conversation... I don't know how else to explain it. But when I connect a different device it plays normally. What could be the problem? Thanks

Hello,

I bought a JBL Flip 5 to a shop. I got a price cut because it was the one that was available for testing at the shop.

BUT, I don't seem to be able to actually use it like a regular speaker, and I can’t get it back to the shop (far away).

What happens is that when it’s not plugged in to a power source it won't turn on.

When it's plugged to a power source it turns on by itself and no button is functioning. But my computer (running Debian GNU/Linux) sees it as an external soundcard (that is well done jbl!).

I am computer savvy so I have been trying many tricks to unlock it, exit whatsoever demo mode, by keeping Power and + pressed for 30 seconds, while plugged and while not; same with Power and Bluetooth; actually I tried every combination of power with other buttons and Bluetooth with other buttons, when plugged and when not, to no avail.

I also dismantled it and checked the battery state: it's absolutely full.

When I plug the speaker only the power button lights up, then the charging led (white), then the jbl sound, then that's it.

Is there something to do or am I stuck with a good but rather old-style batteryless wired speaker?

JBL Flip 5: Keeps disconnecting from Samsung tv

Jbl flip 5 speaker purchased to play volume on my Samsung smart tv. Will work fine for hours then suddenly speaker volume off TV volume on (TV still says connected but I have to reconnect) Happens more and more. Speaker is kept plugged in (not charging issue) just got it around Christmas.

I wnat to know whether there is a way to fix those promblems. When the jbl tries to make bass sounds, it makes a wierd sound.

And the volume buttons don't work at all.

Can’t turn on, when plugged to charge it turn on immediately by self but can’t control, can’t connect . When unplugged it immediately turn off by itself also
