JBL Clip 2: Speaker will only play when plugged in and losses connections?

The device will only work when plugged in. I have tried different plugs, cords, and outlets. as soon as it is unplugged it shuts off and does not turn on. It will also lose connections with a phone via BlueTooth connections. what would you recommend i do?

JBL Clip 2: Which usb-connector to replace broken one?

Hello, I’m trying to get a replacement for a broken usb-port on my clip 2. The ones I get on aliexpress don’t fit. It seems there are at least two different mainboards for the clip 2. Mine is mp_cup12876x_a. Does anybody know where to get the right usb-port?

The Bluetooth speaker power button is very responsive. So is the Bluetooth button and phone. But no clue for the volume up or down. I haven’t been able to try the aux cable already built in because I have an iphone

I have a Clip 2 where the small male connector inside the micro usb port has partially chipped. Thus the speaker can longer be charged. Is this specific part something that can be fixed? Or would it require replacing the entire motherboard?

JBL Clip 2: How do I remove the clip 2 from demo or retail mode?

I recently got a few JBL speakers that use to be store demos.

I have them all out of demo mode except for the Clip 2.

Normal way to do remove demo mode is to have the speaker be plugged in, press and hold both ‘connect’ and ‘vol+’ till it restarts.

The Clip 2 has no ‘connect’ button. I have tried every combo i can think of..

Tutorials for tearing down the JBL Clip 2 do not specify if the JBL Clip 2 will still be waterproof if you open it... I guess not but it's important to specify this information.

And if not, eventually, are there some means to restore this capacity ?
