JBL Charge 4: Speaker turns itself on when not plugged in?

I bought this speaker because the seller said that it would not power on. I played around with some of the button combos and reset the jbl and now got it to power on. I tested it with service mode and made sure it is not in service mode. The problem is when I turn the speaker off while it is not charging, it automatically turns itself on (even if it isn't connected to anything via bluetooth). The weird thing is that when it is plugged in, it works fine and will stay off when turned off and works fine in general. I have tried all the different suggestions and even took the battery out, nothing has worked.

JBL Charge 4: I turn my device on, but it turns itself off within 5 seconds

I have recently replaced the battery in my JBL charge 4Q due to the old battery having a buldge. But now when it is powered on, it does turns off within 5 seconds. The battery indecator says that it has a full charge. Is there a way to reset the device to factory settings by constacting some pads on the motherboard? if no, is there anything i can do? (the original batttey is unusable). Also, when charging, the light indecator does not change, even if the battery is full.

JBL Charge 4: I cannot press the power button. Wondering why?

Hey guys.

Just wondering if anyone here has ever experience trouble with their JBL speaker.

I have this JBL Charge 4 that I recently purchased 2 months ago.

Just now the speaker's power button seem to 'disappear' in a sense that when I press it, I cannot 'feel' the button and there is no clicked sound. As a result, I cannot turn my speaker on.

Other buttons are still normal, you can press it and there's that clicked sound. However that is not the case with the power button.

My speaker is still new, never drops to the floor nor being exposed to water.

I’ve browsed the internet and haven’t seen forum discussing this problem.

Wondering if anyone can advise any solution?

Thanks heaps!

JBL Charge 4: JBL Charge 4 speaker suddenly stops playing sound

My JBL Charge 4 bluetooth speaker was working fine until it suddenly stopped playing sound (even the ones it plays when it turns on, off, etc.). I don’t know what could’ve caused this since I don’t use the speaker on max volume. Speaker was charged and it connects fine, hasn’t gotten extremely wet either.

JBL Charge 4: Can anyone identify this faulty voltage regulator on the mainboard?

my charge 4 stopped working completely. When I plugged it to charge, the buttons flashed strangely and since then no reactions whatsoever. It still seemed to charge as the charge got warm.

So I took it apart to check the battery - everything is fine.

So I took it completely apart and found visible signs of a flame / heat on the mainboard. A tech-friend said it is a blown voltage regulator. See the pictures (one with highlight of the area). Can anyone identify the specific part and maybe even has an idea, where I could get that part?

Thanks a lot!

JBL Charge 4: My jbl charge 4 wont charge but the light blinks.

My jbl charge 4 wont charge but the light blinks.

I tried measuring the amperage when charging, about 0,6 amps, way too low, should be around 2,5 or so, tried a software reset, didn’t work, then i disassembled it, charged the battery with an skyrc Imax and now i have to disassemble the speaker everytime i want to charge it

I saw that the three wires from the charging board to the mainboard were somehow cut, but i couldn’t fix it due to my soldering iron being absent. I dont know the purpose of these wires.

If anyone knows anything about this problem, please let me know.

When using the JBL connect app, the app will not allow me to connect my JBL charge 3 to my charge 4 in stereo mode; it instantly defaults back to party mode every time I try. Has anyone else had this issue? Both firmware’s are up to date on each device and the JBL connect app is up to date aswell.
