2000 Isuzu Trooper, heating/cooling blower on dashboard not working, battery light is on, battery won't charge.... but, got it to all work couple times by disconnecting battery cables, hooking them back up, battery sometimes charges, light goes out, blower works, but problem recurs again. Suspecting ECM or charging relay if I could find it. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Isuzu: 2000 isuzu rodeo- v6 wont start w/o jump, cuts off while driving

My car wont start without a jump. Once I jump the car off it will run anywhere from 5 seconds to 15 minutes and then cut off and it has no power. The horn, lights or anything wont work. I've had the battery and alternator tested and they are both fine. What else could be wrong with it? I really don't want to spend a butt load of money. Someone said it could be a sensor but which sensor would cause the car to act this way?

1981-1991 Isuzu Trooper: Wipers getting stuck + motor drawing power

Hi, I have a 1984 Isuzu Trooper 3dr. Lately I’ve noticed that sometimes the wipers would randomly turn on when I started up the car and simply stop in a random position. Then I can’t get the wipers back down unless I pull quite hard on both of them.

The motor is drawing power as well (car had a voltage gauge for some reason) and it’s honestly irritating. I’ve replaced the wiper motor 3 times already and since it’s the rainy season over here I really don’t to be stuck without wipers in heavy rain again.

Is there anything I can do other than replace the motor yet again?

(As if anyone here actually knows about these 1st gen Troopers…)

1991-1998 Isuzu Rodeo: RPM's Too High - Isuzu Rodeo

Hi, hopefully someone can help. I have a 97 Isuzu Rodeo. The happy medium for the RPM's while in neutral is right inbetween 0 and 1 RPM's -- at about .5. That's the norm for this car.

What's happening though is when I'm driving the car at a slow pace then pull up to a stop, I'll take it out of gear and put it in neutral, but the RPM's will spike up to about 1.5 - 2.2 and stay there. 2.2 is about the highest. The light turns green, I put it back in gear and then the RPM's settle down once my foots off the clutch and I'm driving.

Pushing the clutch back in though, to change gears or to stop again and be in idle makes the RPM's shoot back up to that high rev range.

It usually subsides and goes back to normal once I've driven for 5 minutes or park somewhere and leave the car off for a few minutes. That seems to make the issue go away, but lately it's even been starting just from a cold start and still reving high even after turning the car on and off a few times and not even going anywhere.

The check engine light is on too, which I've had addressed and fixed two separate times in the last few years. Hopefully someone has some insight. I've taken it to the mechanic twice, but of course once I got there the car was not acting up and the RPM's were fine, and so they couldn't figure it out.

1992-2002 Isuzu Trooper: Possible alternator problems (No Mechanical Knowledge)

Ok, so i am making this post for my dads friend, as he is not the best with computers.

He recently bought a 93 Isuzu Trooper from a friend who was fed up trying to get it to work. What i have been told of the problem is that while the car runs fine and drives well, (both of them were really impressed with how it sounded and ran) the battery has died a few times while they were driving it. They replaced the alternator and some belts and the problem is still there. Additionally there are a few weird glitches with the interior electronics such as one of the turn signal lights not working the heat works does not work when the engine is on, and none of the interior lights work. I have pictures of the engine if that helps.
