Impressa A9: Jura A9 won’t turn on!

Hello everyone,

My Jura A9 acted weird lately, when starting brewing or grinder it would just shut off abruptly!

The other day that was it, it stopped working completely.

After opening it and following some tutorials i couldn’t find anything wrong inside. The grinder ok, the brewing unit ok, the swith (1) ok, the PCBA (2) ok no signs of burnt area, same for the pcba of the display, fuses (3) ok, thermocouple (4) ok… the only doubt I have is on the 2 capacitors (5) one of them makes a weird noise like a buzz noise. I do have a voltage but nothing, the machine won’t turn on.

Any idea on what I can check?

Thanks for your help.

Impressa A9: Water flow minimal. Won't make coffee or clean.

My Impressa A9 water flow has slowed to minimal since changing my filter again. This happened once before. Sent in for cleaning/repair $$$ but do not know what they did to fix it. No longer moves enough water to make coffee or clean. Sounds like pressure builds up but no water flow.

Impressa A9: Jura Impressa A5 - grinder does not work

Hi all,

The grinder in my Jura a5 stopped working. I took the machine apart and tried powering the grinder directly - it works, but the machine does not power it up for some reason when operating normally.

Found a guy locally who replaced some triacs that apparently switch the grinder. It didn’t help. He diagnosed the circuit board and couldn’t find any issues, yet the grinder still does not work.

Any ideas?

Impressa A9: Why is my milk frother not getting milk hot enough

My milk frother no longer gets milk hot enough for a latte and the milk does not foam properly. I have cleaned everything that I can think of cleaning — including descaling and using the cleaner fluid for the frother. The frother works better (but not normally) when I use the cappuccino setting and the hot water function seems to work fine. When the frother is working to make a latte, a large puff of steam comes out at the beginning but then as it pumps, it appears to be pumping water (and not very hot) as well as milk. Is there a quick fix I am missing or do I need to take it to the dealer?
