Husqvarna: Mower won’t start, no click or spark. Maybe a safety/kill switch?

So, I started the mower up just fine and drove about 5 feet and it shutoff. I tried to start it again, and nothing. No noise or crank at all. So I bypassed the ignition with a flathead and it sounds good but just won’t get any spark. I took the fuel line off and fuel is coming out when attempting to start. However, the spark plugs have absolutely no spark at all. So I replaced them and nothing change.

To sum it up, turning the key does nothing. But I can bypass it with a flathead and it just cranks but gets no spark. Fuel system seems good, so I’m curious if there’s a safety/kill switch somewhere.

It has a new tank of gas, new spark plugs, fuel is spitting out, oil is new, filter isn’t clogged.

Husqvarna: Mower starts up fine, but will not engage in forward or reverse...?

The engine starts up fine, when I go to press the gas pedal forward or backward it won’t move either direction.

Does it have to have time to warm up first before it moves?

I also have the blade deck off the tractor to restore it.

Husqvarna: Ride on mower muffler smoking and turning red.

Hello All

So I have a poulan pro 42 inch ride on with a Briggs and Stratton 33r887-0009 engine. Initially I had a problem with with a stripped spark plug. I tried to use rethread but there was a hairline crack which it made worse. I decided instead of trying to further repair the hole that I’d just replace the cylinder head with a used one I bought on eBay. After much cleaning I installed the cylinder head with a new head gasket and torqued it down to spec. I set the valves both at .004. I also replaced the carburetor. And a new spark plug. I did an oil change and it was time to fire it up. The engine started and seems to run well. I was letting it run and adjusting the idle on the carb when I realized the muffler was bright cherry read. It was only running a few minutes. I immediately turned it off.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Husqvarna: YTH24K48 Mower runs when jumping solenoid

Mower will not start except when I jump solenoid. Jump black spade terminal on solenoid to negative battery terminal, the engine starts fine using ignition key. Also, lights and hourmeter do not work when running. Lights do work when connected to 12v direct and the light circut at the pull-apart connector is getting 12v when grounding meter to frame. Thought it was ignition switch and bought new one but same problem. The carb solenoid (clicks heard on first turn of key) and blade clutch are working. Seems the start solenoid, lights and hour meter are not getting a return ground. Any suggestions?

Husqvarna: Why is my riding mower engine revving uncontrollably?

I have a Husqvarna riding mower with a Briggs & Stratton motor model number 44 R877. The type number is 0 0 0 1 g 1 and the code is 14032 0 YG. I have checked the springs on my linkage and there is no visible damage they are not stretched in any way. And my throttle seems to be moving okay. And my Governor seems to be set correctly? Any ideas on what else it could be?
