Im sure its not the charger because I got lots of chargers that I tried and they all work for other phones but not for my huawei y625. any solutions? I brought it back to the strore but they told me to send it away. I cant do that because im going on holiday next week and Im afraid I wont get it back by that time.
Huawei Y625: Huwawei Y6 Pro keeps shutting down.

Huwawei Y6 Pro - shows the battery at 1% even though it was charged to 80%, (give or take) with another phone. It keeps initiating a 10sec countdown to shutdown every time.

(just a short background) The owner brought the phone to me with empty battery and unable to charge. After probing, he also mentioned that he had possibly wet it, dropped it a few times, and had smelled faint burning plastic and gets quite warm while it is being charged. He further complained that it could only be charged when the charger is inserted in a certain way or when a specific charger was used.

Now I am beginning to be concerned at this point, thinking the fault might be in the battery’s “over discharge protection circuit” that’s telling the system the battery is too low and it needs to shut down. OR

if the main board as a whole is faulty (now replacing it isnt an option as it costs about same as the new unit).

how do I know it’s the over discharge protection circuit? If it is indeed the case, Can I bypass it either via software or a jumper wire?

What other possible issues have I missed?

Update (09/26/2018)

Update:

I used another battery and connected it to the mainboard. It did work just fine and was able to game with it.

The issue though is that as soon as the battery is connected the board heats up hitting about 100°F or 50°C on the thermometer even when the device is turned off. The heat becomes uncomfortable within 15-30 mins.

but then again, the phone works and the battery isnt the issue.

Does someone know what could be wrong and if there’s a possible bypass required.

Huawei Y625: My phone doesn't turn on after months discharged

Goos afternoon fellows so here's the thing I used to have an Huawei y625. But then with the black Friday and stuff I bought a new one and left that on the shelf. After a big while like months I was curious if I let any important file on the phone but here's the thing it doesnt turn on anymore. I remember while it was working I had a problem and had to replace the firmware and I did so it started work normally again. So I thought it might be the battery that was fully discharged so I plug it in about 1 hour but it steel does appear nothing on screen not even charging logo. I changed the charger and even plug it into an powerbank and it was drawing power from it but after a while steel nothing. I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what could it be. Thanks

Huawei Y625: Desoldered micro usb pads/golden fingers

When i removed the usb port from the board some of the soldering pads were missing.

First i tried to replace them with some pads from dead board but the board was so eaten i didn't had any copper to solder them.

So with a very thin sand paper i scratched the surface then i could see the copper.

I've seen that people make bridges with copper wires and solder them slightly up from where usually the legs of the usb port land. But where do i need to put the wires, is there another layer on the pcb? Because i don't see any trace paths.
