Huawei P20 Pro: P20 Pro: Black screen after replacement and detected as "file gadget cd Linux drive"

My Huawei P20 Pro has a black screen, but it still vibrates when connected to a charger or PC. I have already tried replacing the screen with a new one, but the display remains completely black.

When connected to a Windows PC, it is detected as "file gadget cd Linux drive" and shows no files. I have tried a soft reset (Power + Volume Down), but it doesn't seem to boot into the OS.

I've inspected the display connector on the motherboard and it looks clean. Are there specific backlight filters, capacitors, or display ICs on the motherboard that are known to fail on this model after a screen-damaging event? Any guidance on which components to test for continuity or voltage would be greatly appreciated.

First time I got the red LED blinking and won't turn on, I replaced the battery. I managed to get the phone turned back on. However, a few hours later, the touch screen is not working. I charged the phone fully, shut it off, and left it for a few days. Now, I get the red LED blinking again. Can someone explain, please?

I did a battery replacement on my huawei p20 pro and now the phone won't turn on the charging screen appears and tells me what percentage but it won't turn on I have also tried the volume button & power on button to factory reset and plugged it into pc to factory reset but nothing any help would be appreciated ?

The screen isn’t able to turn on. It shows some funny coloured (mostly green and white) lines along the bottom of the screen when you try to wait the phone. Warming the phone on the body for 30 seconds or more allows the screen to turn on again.

It then works totally fine again until it is allowed to get cooler.

Hello I exchanged the flex cable with the connector of my P20 pro. Now I have the problem that I no longer have a mobile network inside buildings. However, the antenna cable is properly seated. Everything works without problems outside of buildings. Do you have a tip to fix the problem?

Hello,

My Huawei P20 Pro won't boot.

When I charge it the screen stays black, there is only a small red light blinking every 1s (at the top of the screen near the speaker).

Also, I tried to boot with the battery disconnected. In this case, it is stucked in a boot loop : HUAWEI logo showing 1~2 s, then reboot, over and over.

What kind of failure could it be ? Is the battery dead ? Or may be the charge connector ?

I got a p20 pro (CLT-AL00 model) with my wifi not working. What I mean is that when I tap on the wifi it would turn blue then go back to being greyed out. I tried factory reset but to no avail. Is there a way for me to check if the hardware module is bust?

Also ive seen the ifixit diagram wherein the wifi and bluetooth is located on the same module. Bluetooth is working fine for me but should I replace the whole module? I am also having a hard time finding the parts compatible to my phone model (chinese variant)

Anybody know how or why the finger print sensor has gone. Hadn't changed a thing. and blue tooth connectivity paired with car head unit but not sound bar with surround sound with the TV?

I was finger printing in to my banking app one day. The next it's gone!

In my Huawei p9 when I receive call it shows the number is label/alias(when I save multiple number under one name with alias/label.. Mobile or work or home )

But in p20 its not showing that alias/label.

Any one noticed this.

I have imported all my data from a samsung s7 to the p20... But all my whatsapp images are in a random order in the gallery. They all now say created on the day I imported. Is there any way to order them by date they were originally taken/received on whatsapp?
