Huawei P10: Fingerprint sensor is overheating

Hello. I own a Huawei p10 and recently it fell out of my pocket and landed on its screen. Luckily it had its cover on and got a scratch on the upper left corner. Everything seems to be working fine until later on the day I noticed that the fingerprint sensor (glass) was unusually hot. I didn't notice it before but are finger print sensors warm to touch? Also the finger print sensor is working fine, it responds as default and a also enrolled a new fingerprint ID just to see if it's working, and it did. So anyone can tell me it will be okay or am I just worrying too much? Thanks

Huawei P10: Water Damage and still wont load

Hey all my first post :D now i love dealing with pain phones so i took this one on a Huaweii P10. All ive been told is it got wet it worked for a while and then it turned off. What ive done so far :-

Cleaned board with 90% alcohol stuff, that solution that Ifixit recomeneds

New Battery

New Charging Baord

New Main Flex

New Screen

When i plug the charger in all that happens is the red light on the screen flashes, it does this with the battery plugged in and out also when i press Power Up + Power i get the flashing light but i press just power i get nothing. When i got the phone it had enough power to cycle vibrate as it trys to turn on so its got to be the battery not charging.

Any body have any words of wisdom for me to try or does this need to go to someone with a sonic bath :)

Many Thanks

Huawei P10: New battery discharges from 50% completely and rapidly within minutes

I am having a strange problem after replacing the battery of my Huawei P10 (not Lite, Pro or Plus) (old battery was swollen and phone no longer turned on). With the new battery, the device itself works normally, but from 50% it discharges completely in less than 5 minutes and goes out (fake charge?). From 100% to 50% normal discharge (not amazing runtime, but acceptable for 50%, about 3-4 hours initially). I don't think it is a calibration problem because it didn't get better with multiple cycles. Over the course of about 10 days it got worse to 70% and is now at 90%. The cell phone then only starts with power supply by cable, shows 90% immediately after starting, then charges from 90 up to 100%, which takes about an hour. Then you can use it for a few minutes (maybe about half an hour at best) then it's back to 90% and turns off. You can use it continuously with the power cable connected, but it gets quite warm. So far I've only stressed that for a few hours at most. I've already tried a factory reset, but that didn't help. I thought about putting a new battery in again, but I was skeptical as to whether that would help since the battery was new. In other forums I discovered similar problems with the P10 Lite, but also once with a Samsung cell phone and the problem persisted after the battery was replaced (no solutions found, unfortunately). Can a defective charging board be the cause? Should I replace the board with the charging socket (as described here https://de.ifixit.com/Anleitung/Huawei+P...)? But the charging socket is apparently functional since the cell phone runs okay with a power cable. On the other hand, I suspect that such a defect may have already killed the old battery until it swelled up. Maybe the new battery will do the same soon if things continue like this? Any ideas?

Huawei P10: phone boots up but screen doesn't work, water damaged, badly dryed up

One year ago a friend gave me a water damaged huawei p10 to fix, he said that it had fallen in water and he used rice to try drying up the phone. since then, every time he was trying to turn it on, it was just getting hotter and hotter, and the result was just a black screen and a little furnace, no feedbacks. I seem to recall that the phone didn’t used to get hot while charging, but only while he was trying to turn on, i mean the boot phase (?).

today:

I cleaned up the phone with iso and trichloroethylene (DON’T USE WITHOUT PROPER VENTILATION) and i tried to resolder every chip on the board. now it works, i mean, it turns on but the screen is completely black, i can ear notifications and everything, I can also see the notification light, the vibration works, but the screen stays back :(

what to do ?

I’m not able to read the schematics ( I can’t find some that are at least easy to understand and trust ) but I’m good at soldering so if it’s a chip don’t say it’s impossible to replace :)

Huawei P10: Microphone does not work during call on ear.

Hi, I dropped my phone in water 4 days ago (19/3). I’ve let the phone (Huawei P10) dry for a couple of days before I charged it and open it. However, I’ve noticed one problem after the incident. The microphone doesn’t seem to work. I’ve done some tests, and the microphone works when recording audio and when making a call on the speaker, but not when doing a normal call (the phone to the ear). I’ve tried different things to try to fix it:

restarted the phone

unactivated the “OK Google” function

restore the phone to factory settings

But nothing works. I've also opened the cover to see if it’s dry. Does anyone know if there are two microphone or how does it work? And I’m guessing it’s a hardware problem (if you don’t have other suggestions), does anyone know if it is possible to change the microphone /microphone board?

Thank you in advance!

Huawei P10: Trouble after screen replacement

Hi everyone. Just to let everyone know that I'm sort of a dummy when it comes to phones and tech, but also new to here so sorry if I misplaced this question. So here goes.. I've broken my huawei p10 screen and had it replaced together with the lcd. After a day, when it was done and went and picked it up, I noticed that the scrolling isn't as smooth as it used to be, but much, much slower.. Sort of laggy. Also when I tap the screen there is this small, shadow like dot that appears on the left hand side and as soon as I let go of the screen it goes away. When it came back from the shop I had some apps that have doubled(two icons), that I deleted in the meantime. Anyone know what the deal is here? I googled and looked but couldn't find anything simmilar to my situation. Thanks
