Hi, New to fixing phones, only my 4th. I thought I carefully stripped my phone to replace the camera module, but I had a small pin drop off when I removed the main board. See pic below.

2 options I've had say you can either glue it at the edge to remake contact, and another saying they are not crucial to the phone operating, so leave it off.

Welcome some advice on what's best.

I've tried to find schematics online,but not much joy.

No I think he meant glue. I've taken some better pics, as you can see on the part itself, the entire base of it is covered with a red paste/glue. No metal part is exposed where it was bonded to the board. No solder etc. And its sprung between the board and the screen.

My Huawei P20 Pro has a black screen, but it still vibrates when connected to a charger or PC. I have already tried replacing the screen with a new one, but the display remains completely black.

When connected to a Windows PC, it is detected as "file gadget cd Linux drive" and shows no files. I have tried a soft reset (Power + Volume Down), but it doesn't seem to boot into the OS.

I've inspected the display connector on the motherboard and it looks clean. Are there specific backlight filters, capacitors, or display ICs on the motherboard that are known to fail on this model after a screen-damaging event? Any guidance on which components to test for continuity or voltage would be greatly appreciated.

I was using the phone and accidentally dropped it. When I picked it up, the screen wouldn't turn on. Then when I looked, the screen came off and the screen was no longer connected to that special tape that displays on the screen. What can I do to put it back on?

Hey,

So apparently whenever I have a call on loudspeaker (WhatsApp or normal calls) the person on the other end can't hear me?

I tried doing a test by using the recorder app and that picked up my voice fine so now I'm stumped….

Does it use a different microphone when on loudspeaker? And if so where is this located so I can check if it's blocked or anything?

My phone wont recognise my wired headphones through the usb c or a splitter.

The usb c port has been replaced so as the loudspeaker, I have tried multiple headphones, also tried the headphones on another device.

It charges perfectly, connects to my laptop fine, it just will not recognise my headphones.

Audio works fine via loudspeaker and bluetooth.
