Huawei Mate 10 Pro: Water damage, black screen, phone still on! Won't turn off!

I used my apparent water resistant phone in the pool and now the screen of my phone is black, my phone is on, and unable to be turned off, the screen is black and every so often the phone vibrates as if a notification has come through or as if the phone is being used.

Please help!!! I'm furious this has happened as I did all the research about the water resistance of this phone and only used it to its abilities.

I would like to know when my phone is gonna get next update (EMUI 8.1 or Android 9.0 ????? ) I recived updated for face unlock few weeks ago (BLA-L29 8.0.0.142 (C432). So I'm just curious to know when I will get new features on this phone ☺

Huawei Mate 10 Pro: Apps in Background not running

I have 2 apps which very important for me... But those apps are stopping to provide their services each time I need them. The apps working just fine for a couple of times and then stopping to work till the next time I press on the app to access into the apps... It means that the apps are not running properly in the background...

hi i own a mate 10 pro and i want to upgrade his camera 20mp to buy the camera of p20 pro 40mp and put it in my mate 10 pro..is this possible??i think they have same motherboards same camera software cause i got all the upgrade camera features of p20 pro in my mate 10 pro and cpu gpu same i think.ofc the company doesn do it cause they say pay 600eyro to get the p20 pro ;) .

The phone fell sometime ago, and also the boot loader has been unlocked. I don't know whether that's the problem, but the sound and speakers are not working, the flashlignt and vibration too. Can flashing the phone make it come or some parts to replaces.

When my phone is off and I connect it to charge, it directly go to recovery mode, and don't charge but when it's on, it charge properly.

Also when my phone is off, I can enter recovery mode by pressing power button and volume up button, but when my phone is on volume up button didn't work, and I replace the button but the problem haven't been solved.

So about a month ago my phone just wouldn’t recognise my earphones even though they were plugged in. To test that that it wasn’t that my plug was full of dust I put my charger in and it worked. Also rarely (I mean rarely) it connects but then it disconnects almost immediately.

Hello there, I &&^&@@ up pretty bad with my phone, so I was having problems with my SIM cards, so I thought why not clean up the slot? I did it and I fixed the problem but I created a worst one.

After I cleaned up with q-tip and toothpick all the dirt inside that part I pointed out with red arrow https://i.imgur.com/3GGkOWr.png (below that piece, inside) my phone got a green line just like this one https://i.imgur.com/aXoRWMO.png

I only cleaned it up without removing that piece, I cleaned up the dirt inside it (there was a lot, infact I had to use 5-6 q-tip), I used isopropyl alcohol (the one used for electronics).

And, not only this, now, I may have also removed thermal paste with the q-tip without realizing it, I didn’t know there was thermal paste in the phones, I’m a beginner.

So, how can I fix it? Should I disassemble and clean up? And put some thermal paste again? I have some Arctic Silver 5 (the silver one)

I ordered a Huawei Mate 10 Pro battery from Ifixit, I installed it according to the Ifixit guide. My question is, do I calibrate the battery using "regular" charging voltage like 5v 1A or can I calibrate it using Huaweis "super charging" voltage of 4.5V 5A?? thank you

Huawei Mate 10 Pro: My voice breaks up during call - receiver cannot hear me clearly

During calls on my Huawei Mate 10 pro, my voice becomes difficult to hear clearly after a short time.

Meanwhile I hear the voice of the other person clearly for the duration of the call leading me to beleave that the connection is not at fault. Also when I make the call from the same location with another phone (eg. Samsung or Iphone), the problem is not present.

Different people have told me after variable duration of a call that they are unable to hear me clearly stating that my voice breaks up like a very bad skype quality conversation. It seems to become worse after a short time of the call.

I had the phone in for repair - no faults found. The phone was just reset to see if that would improve the situation. It did not - my dad quickly recognized that I had my Huawei back (and repeated that I should throw it away).

I found this discussion (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10...) interesting - about how speech processing algorithm apparently has a problem with male voices - higher pitched voices should not create the same problem. I would really like to find a solution or at least an explanation for this problem.

I hope some of you might have some insight on this issue :-)
