Hallo i trying to learn how to troubleshoot/diagnose laptop motherboards. I have here Huawei matebook x pro i7/16gb.

Laptop wont start only keys capslock and fn lights light up and fan start spin for 3 seconds bud light stay on. And power light just blinking.

My steps what i done.
- At first i see blown mosfet, ok i replaced it with new one (still dont help) - i am wondering what can couse the mosfet to blow
- find lot of shorts on top site on the board (i think it is a shorted cpu but it is unlikely to be cpu it is rare)
- and i dont know what to do next maybe someone can help me figure it up.

My Huawey matebook D16 power on an off button does not work, I can no power on my pc when I press the button, It only power on when I unplug and plug the battery and ass soon as I plug the charger it powers on rihht away without pressing the power on button, I did try all the seeting having not luck

When opening the laptop, and it take 5 mins with a black screen then a message pops up [no boot device]. When I hit enter, it only goes to setup menu.

I bought a tool kit to enable me to replace an aging battery. YT videos indicate that there are additional screws underneath the feet. Rem oving the first one revealed another plastic bump surrounded by what looks like a circlip (???) At which point I began wishing I'd sent the laptop to Huawei for the job.

Any suggestions?
