Huawei Honor View 20: Heat gun or hot plate, what is best

Hey all,

So I'm finnaly learning how to do glass replacements and it got me thinking. I've got the above phone in need of a new LCD. Could I use my hot plate at around 65-75c on the silicon mat, leave the back of the phone on there for about 5 minutes then take the back cover off and do the same for the screen instead of getting the heat gun out. The heat gun provides heat but it's uneven where as the hot plate provides even heat. I'm starting to wonder if the hot plate will be easier in general. Anyone use a hot plate to do the repairs on this one before

Hi,there! I drop me phone yesterday and the resut is broken glass. Just the glass. My question is : is it possible to replace just the glass,or I need the entire panel (screen,touch and glass)?

Huawei Honor View 20: After replecement of the screen, vertical lines appear

Is it a bad screen? something else that might went wrong in the installation?

I have two phones an iPhone and a android for work. My work phone recently got damaged my special needs sister got in a tantrum and threw my phone.

I work in a business answering important calls and so fourth. My work phone has all my work information on there.

I’ve luckily got two spare screen replacements and a tool kit. I know how to replace the screen. Like many others my paycheck dont arrive till the last day of the month. I can’t afford adhesive glue or tape for my phone. Am i still able to use the old adhesive on my phone to glue the new screen back to it? Luckily, ive got two days of so i need a reply asap please.

Huawei Honor View 20: How do I remove last two pieces on the frame before replacing screen

I bought a replacement screen "with frame". However, there are still two parts that I can't remove from the old frame. I think they are maybe the IR emitter and the earphone. They are at the top of the attached picture.

I should have got a screen without frame. Then I wouldn't have to deal with the heat pipe and such.

I own an Honor view 20 (C185E5R3P3) with Android version 11.0.0.161. Unfortunately, the has a malware and it needs to be flashed. This ROM can't be downloaded from anywhere. I would appreciate the significance of your help to provide the ROM file.

Hi, when I turn on the honor 20, as soon as the operator's signal starts, my phone restarts. All the time, when I put the airplane mode on the phone works, I tried both slots, clean the sim card, in another phone the Sim works. I really don't know what it could be anymore.

Hello, i have problem with honor 20 touch not working, tried 2 different replacement LCDs none of them working so i just assumed it isnt malfunctioning replacement part, also did hard reset of the phone, does anyone faced same issue? and what can cause the problem?

I thought that the glass was supposed to be really strong on the back so I hadn't worried about a case. That being said the back glass shattered with a three foot drop on to hard wood floor. I'm looking to replace the back glass, but I'm not sure what I need or how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.
