I am presently facing a strange issue with my Honor 6. Nothing has gone wrong on my phone for almost 1 year but recently, impossible to charge my battery while my phone was on. Today, after a few weeks thinking my phone was just dieing, I have tried to make a back up and wanted to save all my data on my computer. However, impossible to connect my phone to my computer. Then I realized the problem was probably due to my USB parameters (No interface asking for mode to choose when I plug USB).

I finally did my back up but issue is still there : I can only use USB while my phone is OFF... meaning I only charge my phone when it is OFF.. :-(

I did not find any solution on internet and did not find an option to allow this interface to come back, even by trying to go in "developer options"

Could you please help?

+opened phone and the power on and volume up and down buttons plastic attached to buttons snapped off…. Can anyone tell me the name of the part that I would need

I think it's about some wire inside being loose from some edge but I can't be sure?

Just as a compare, I've had few phones earlier, and I'm not talking about the NOKIA's undestroyable one's but just a touchscreen smartphones from brands like samsung. I have had several cracks in the screen so that literally pieces have been falling off but it still did work. I've had one of my phones spent twice at least 1 min underwater and nothing else broke but the on-off switch, which caused problems later on.

She removed the phone immediately (according to her it was like a couple of seconds) and, as the phone still worked ok, she just cleaned it off with a cloth and continued using it the whole day.

After a couple of hours the phone started behaving strangely. In the evening when she came home and showed me the phone the touch screen wasn’t really working (just sometimes for a little moment) and i turned the phone off.

We took out the SIM and SD cards and we have put the phone in rice for about 4 days.

Now we can’t turn the phone on.

When we try to charge the phone the front LED blinks red a couple of times, the phone vibrates shortly a couple of times (mostly 2 times with about 10 second interval) and then it just goes black.

A long press of the POWER button makes the phone vibrate twice, with about 3 seconds interval. But it still doesn’t turn on (doing this there are no blinking LEDs)

I have tried connecting it to my laptop via USB using some android recovery apps. At some point it asks me to turn on the USB Debugging (she probably never used it and so it is still off) so it didn’t work.

I have opened the phone and let it dry another couple of days, but still no change.

Is there a way to find out what is brocken? Maybe the battery?

We would love to be able to at least save some photos that she hasn’t backed up.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Honor 6A. This happens since 2018. the charging dock cannot lock to any USB cable I tried. And recently, my PC cannot detect the phone with a known working USB cable. I tried several of PC and it doesn’t work. Is my USB charging dock bad? I disconnect and reconnected the charging dock ribbon cable and it still doesn’t work. The phone charges fine.

I backed up My files in my Pc using Hisuite and went into recovery mode and pressed factory reset

but now it keeps rebooting or bootloop whenever i plug in my charger, but when i dont plug my charger its just all black screen. Please Help
