While riding the motorbike, the engine will shut off and it will not start back up. When I try to start it back up, it makes a constant continuous chugging noise but the engine will not turn over.

When I start the motorbike, the engine starts up just fine, but the head lights do not turn on no matter what I do. How can I fix this?

Honda Motorcycle: Why cant I cant I install a custom exhaust muffler?

I recently bought a Honda CBR500, and I would like to replace the default muffler with a custom one, the muffler of my choice is designated for the specific model that I ride, but after consulting with Honda's officials in regards to the modification that I wish to make, their answer was that it is not possible, and if I choose to do so I will lose my two years manufacturer warranty.

The only custom muffler they do allow is an Akrapovic.

How can I overcome this issue?

Honda Motorcycle: What does HONMAM 1500 stamped on exhaust pipes mean

I have 2 exhaust pipes and each is stamped with information regarding emissions. The pipes probably came from a bike from the 1990’s or early 2000’s. There is a lot of info stamped on the pipes and one line says installation of this exhaust system on motorcycles models not specified may violate federal law and it list the exhaust system for the following motorcycle HONMAM 1500. What kind of motorcycle is this for?

Honda Motorcycle: 94 Honda Shadow - electrical issue - wont turn over at all

I have a 94 Shadow vt1100. I ride this bike often and it's been running great until today when I tried to start it something went wrong with the electrical system. I got on the bike, turned the key on, flipped the switch on the handlebars and hit the starter switch and the bike turned over fine but didn't start right away. No biggy, I hit the starter switch again and it started to turn the starter motor then everything went dark. No lights on the speedometer, no headlight, no nothing. So I turn the key off then back on, nothing. I get my multi-tester out and the battery reads zero volts when the key is in the on position, but reads 12.5 volts with the key off. So I get my trickle charger out and throw it on the battery. Same kind of issue when the key is on versus off. So when the key is on the charger says it's in standby mode and does nothing, when I turn the key off the trickle charger says the battery has a full charge (I have a Noco Genius G1100 trickle charger). There is a 25amp fuse coming off the battery cable that I checked but is not blown. The battery is fairly new Motobatt sealed battery.

I'm not an electrical wiz but any ideas of what might be happening and/or what I might be able to check next?

Honda Motorcycle: Transmission aand reverse are locked up

I have a 1992 Honda gold wing SE. I took the starter out and put new brushes in it. After putting the starter back in, the starter worked fine. When I put it in reverse to back up it would start to back up and then release. I would rock the bike back and forth and it would re-engage and back up some more before it would release again. The third time I rocked it back and forth the system locked up. I could not shift back into neutral to get the transmission back into neutral. The reverse shifting lever is stuck in mid position. Horizontal position is reverse off and vertical position is reverse engaged. It is stuck in mid position. The rear wheel is locked up so that I cannot roll the bike. I have tried removing the starter but I can only back it out about an 1/8 th of an inch. I have tried all that I know how to do.. Any answers or suggestions Jerry M== Heading text ==
