Hi everyone,

I’m having a frustrating issue with my Honda Dio NSC110 scooter, and I’m hoping someone here can help.

🛠️ Problem Summary:

The bike starts easily when cold (first start of the day or after sitting overnight).

But after a long ride at high speed (half hour), if I shut it down, it won’t start again for several hours.

Once fully cooled, it starts again just like normal.

It cranks, but no ignition.

This issue happens consistently after long rides, not after short ones.

🔧 What I’ve tried:

Replaced the spark plug → No improvement.

Air filter cleaned.

Fuel system seems fine – no clogging.

Battery voltage is good.

Spark plug is dry (not flooded).

🧠 My Guess:

Possibly ignition coil overheating?

CDI failing when hot?

Some kind of heat soak problem?

🏍️ Bike Info:

Honda Dio NSC110 (110cc fuel-injected scooter)

Mostly stock

Located in a warm climate (North Australia)

Any advice on how to troubleshoot this kind of hot-start failure?

How can I test if the CDI or ignition coil is to blame?
