Home Audio Receiver: Marantz SR 92 Receiver

I have crackle sound on my right channel on my Marantz SR 92 receiver(volume "zero"). I have sent it out 3 times for repair, none are able to resolve this problem. Some website indicated that to resolve this, I need 4 transistors, a Mosfet and a resistor. If I can get the circuit diagram on the component location and component types (no.), I may be able to do it myself. SOS. Thanks.

Pioneer VSX-421-K: VSX-421 problem when powering from standby-mode

Hi, I have this reciever, I bought it faulty and replacing relays fixed all the problems but this one:
Reciever works normally until I turn it off/ put it in standby-mode and let it sit for some time. After that when I power it up it turns on but goes off in like 2 seconds. I have to reset it 1-3 times with enter+standby-button and after that it works again normally until I turn it off and let it sit for some time in standby-mode. I have not founded a schematic for this so it's difficult to troubleshoot. Inside it all looks really clean and no bulging capacitors or anything. When I press preset+standby, it gives only these: DC: 039, temp1: 00, temp2: 00, Over: 255. I have no idea what these mean :D How would you proceed to troubleshoot and can anyone tell me where to find the schematic for this model? Thanks!

Solid State Logic SSL 2: Passive Speaker Output Fried Interface

Hello everyone!

So today I failed to use my brain - the following happened:

I tried to connect my vintage sony Hi-Fi-System to my SSL 2+ interface. Since it only has the red and black connectors for passive speakers as an output, I figured I'd simply make a makeshift cable and connect it to my interface. In the two inputs of my interface I plugged a double mono-jack to cinch cable. At the end of the cinch cable I wrapped around a wire so I could plug it into the output of the Hi-Fi player. It worked for 10 seconds, then a pop came through the speakers as if I had just unplugged them and the interface stopped working. For the most part at least.

What works:

-Power LED is on

-4k Buttons light up

-Gain LEDs work (on startup, shows gain when pushing the 4k button, blinks when dis-/enabling +48V)

-miscellanious buttons (I think)

-USB connection (is recognized by the PC, able to reset and update firmware)

What doesn't work (anymore sadly):

-input (not via mic, not via line)

-output (not via speakers, not via headphones)

What's weird:

-4k buttons glow very bright red when disabled (should be off), when enabled they glow slightly dimmer red

4k button engaged

4k button disengaged

back of the board

Question:

Since part of the electronics seem to still be working I'm hopeful I could try and repair it. However, I lack the knowledge to identify which part might be faulty. Where do I start looking? How do I do it? Is it even doable (maybe too small of a part to replace by hand?)

A few quick inspections don't seem to reveal any obvious faults like undone soldering spots or popped capacitors.

Pioneer VSX-821-K: No Power - not surge related

Used this receiver one day, the next it was dead. There was no power outage or surge. There is no display and not responding to the remote or switch. Checked all the power components and they appear to be okay. Getting power to the unit, but not going through the transformer on the power supply board. Relay is not clicking, not getting the signal to turn on. I tried to trace this problem, but I do not have the service manual for this unit and did not see it anywhere on the internet. Checked your site and you do not have it, but thought maybe you can help look for the problems. Any suggestions on what to check next?

Home Audio Receiver: DENON AVR-2113 going into Protect

Hi guys, I'm back with a new AVR problem. Another junkshop find, this time a Denon AVR 2113.

When I first opened it up, the standby board was in a state. The TOP258MG had literally blown its lid, and there were badly damaged tracks etc. Anyways, I rebuilt that, and got the standby supply back.

While waiting for parts to arrived, I removed the main amp pcb, and found the FR channel had blown its fuseable resistors, its emitter resistors were open, and the two main output transistors were short. I replaced these components, checked the rest of the amp pcb, and reinstalled everything.

So this is where I am now: With everything plugged in and connected, the receiver will try to boot, but can't. It just clicks on and off constantly. Now if I unplug the power connector (CP403) from the amp pcb, the receiver boots up without any issues. So I thought there must be something wrong with the amp. Pulled it again, compared measurements, nothing. Can't find anything obvious.

I then measured the output of D4008 (bridge) that supplies HIGHB+ and HIGHB- and when the receiver boots, both HIGHB+ and HIGHB- climb to roughly 55v. When I power down, HIGHB- holds its 55v for ages, whilst HIGHB+ rapidly loses all its voltage. I'm not sure if this is telling of something or not? I'm thinking that perhaps this is a power supply issue and not an amp issue. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!
