Hitachi Television: Need help with backlighting issue on my Hitachi TV

My the screen on my Hitachi tv (43hk25t74u) has recently stopped working. The audio is still there, just no picture. I have done the flashlight trick and can still see some images vaguely, so I'm assuming it is the backlight.

Now from my understanding, it's either a problem with the power supply, or the led strips have failed.

I have opened my tv and looked at all the components, but can't see any obvious visible issues. But I'm no expert, so I have attached some images in the hopes somebody more experienced can spot the issue.

I think I can rule out the power supply being broken by using a multi meter, so if anybody can point out any issues, or point out where I need to check the LED power supply with a multi meter, that would be greatly appreciated!

Then I can be sure it's the strips that need replacing and get them ordered.

Thanks,

Ross

Hitachi Television: TV has black screen but has sound. Works after months unplugged

Hitachi TV, can hear sound from it.

Have tried unplugging from wall and leaving for an hour.

Tried plugging directly into wall

Tried holding down power button for 30 seconds then plugging everything back in

Red light blinks when plugged in, but when you try and turn it on light disappears and no screen change

Shone light against screen to see if a back-light issue (it's not)

Tried unplugging the HDMI cables that were in and using different ones

Honestly we gave up and left it for a couple months. On a whim we plugged it back in and… It worked??? Was good for a couple weeks but today tried to turn it on and it's dead again.

The fact it came back to life after months is baffling to me. Any ideas what would cause this?

Hitachi Television: Hitachi 55" LED TV powers on, backlight flashes once then goes dark

I have a Hitachi LE55U516, made in 2012. When I turn it on, the backlight flashes once and then goes off again. I can see images on the screen with a flashlight. Which is more likely: the LED driver board is bad, or there's a problem with the LED strips? Seems like if the LED strips were bad, I wouldn't even get that single flash. The LED board (Darfon - see photos) measures the correct +24V DC at the input connector. I'm not sure what the reading should be at the output connector.

Hi,

I've got an hitachi tv model number l22dp04u a, and ive got an issue with that i cant seem to constantly replicate.

The TV will turn on a work as normal until a after a random period of time it will make the speakers pop then either a set of green and purple or 2 shades of grey lines will appear on the screen.

Unplugging the tv and and leaving it for a few seconds returns it to normal until it does it again after a random amount of time.

It seems to be worse once the TV gets warm but im struggling to get any ideas of what is going on, i have googled the issue but can't seem to find anything similar to the symptoms.

Anyone have any idea if its likely to be a main board or a psu board issue.

Hitachi Television: Need diagnostic help on Hitachi 61UDX10B TV please

Hello, I own a Hitachi 61UDX10B TV it's 61 1080p HD TV. I've had the TV since 2002 that I bought from Sears and it's been very reliable. Unfortunately it recently went out on me. The TV turns on but it's slowly the screen gets smaller and smaller and turns off. I had the convergences kit replace back in 2007 so I don't think it's that. This is something different so I want to be able to find a problem and see what parts and service it needs. Hopefully they'll be somebody here they'll know about HD projection tvs.

Also why am I keeping this older tv? The reason is I like older things and this TV is very cinematic versus LED I don't like it all. So This TV has live with me for a long time and I just enjoy it. I have other TVs in the house but I just don't watch them so I want to try to fix this guy and keep it going.

I can take pictures of the TV screen and show you what it does. You can watch TV for maybe about a minute or two and then it shuts down.

Let me know if anybody would have an idea what this TV needs.

Thanks

Hitachi Television: Why is my aspect ratio messed up

I was playing my Playstation 5 two days ago and I got up to do something and when I came back my and the screen looked like it was zoomed in like something had changed the aspect ratio. My tv is a 55 inch Hitachi Roku Smart TV model number 55R822. I am running my internet through Spectrum. I figured maybe I hit that ratio aspect button on one of the remotes or something but when I look at our remotes there isn't one on either the TV remote or the cable remote. So my next step is I pull up the settings on the roku remote to the TV and the picture is set to auto and it selects "direct". I cycle through all zoom functions and they all just make the picture even bigger on all inputs. So my next theory is that maybe the Playstation did something to the resolution so I go and check all the settings imaginable on the Playstation and all are normal but just in case let me factory reset it. Nothing. My next step is I check the hdmi cable to the Playstation and I notice it wiggles a decent amount so I replace the hdmi cord just to be safe. Nothing. I go back to the tv and check every single option available to the picture on the tv and nothing. So I eventually do a factory reset on my tv now. Nothing! I went so far as to download the hitachi remotes (because mine only came with a roku tv remote)on my phone to try and see if one had an "aspect ratio" on it. A couple did but the buttons weren't available for use like a few other buttons but most of them did work. The only thing notable that happened that day was when I turned on my Playstation earlier that day it wasn't turned off correctly and the picture came up looking like static and rainbow colors and then the Playstation had to "repair" itself but then this zoom incident happened several hours later with no problems inbetween. Please someone give me and idea of what needs to be done because right now I cannot play any games because of this stupid zoom issue!

Hitachi Television: CRT image is contracting/expanding quickly?

A couple days ago the image on my CRT has started acting strange, the image on the left and right will contract a few pixels, and then expand back to where they should be within less than a second, making the image look like it's twitching or something. The top and bottom of the image stay where they should and do not have any problems.

It will get faster/more extreme if I watch tv for a while, but turning the tv off and then back on will return it to normal for a bit.

The problem is most noticable when I pause the video, as the still image will twitch like that. The outside edges of the picture do it the most, the middle of the screen basically stays still.

What might be causing this? I have repaired consoles and done a bit of soldering before, and am aware of the risks involved but I really like my TV and want to fix it.

Hitachi Television: My hitachi 58HK6100U has a blue screen but is giving sound

My tv screen is blue but i am getting sound. I watched a video on youtube & the tv had the same problem as mine. The guy checked the t-con board as 2 led lights were lit on it , he put a new t-con board on & 3 led lights came on. He checked the tv & the picture was there so my question is do all t-con boards have 3 led lights when they are working properly ??? ... just want to before i start stripping the tv down to check the backlights. My tv has a TC575-009 V1.0 t-con board in it , does it have 2 or 3 led lights on it ???
