Theragun: Theragun Pro fourth generation battery ko.

Hi everyone,

I own a Theragun Pro, and unfortunately the batteries no longer charge. The charger is working properly, so the problem is the internal batteries in the battery compartment.

Can anyone give me advice on how to open the battery compartment to replace the internal batteries without causing any damage?

I'd be sad to no longer be able to use the massager, since it still works perfectly.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I researched and bought a Wahl Stainless Steel Lithium Ion + Groomer to help me stay within regulations as I was deploying to the Middle East.

During my research I found a number of complaints about the on/off switch failing and the ability of the groomer to accept a charge.

Initially the unit I bought worked well and had no problem with either the switch or charging. However, after owning it for about a year with light use, both of these problems emerged and now I can only turn it off by inserting the plug in the recharging jack.

In order to repair/troubleshoot the problems I need to know how to disassemble the razor/groomer.

Health And Personal Care: How do I open my Philips Power Flosser 7000, to fix an internal leak?

I have a Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 7000 Oral Irrigator HX3911/30. Water dribbles out the bottom of the case/body. This is a very common problem, according to owner comments and complaints on many websites. I haven't found any information on how to open the case of the Power Flosser. There are only two visible screws on the bottom of the case, and two more for removing the tubing to the handpiece. I couldn't figure out how to get the case apart, which may partially snap together.

This is an expensive water flosser, so buying a new one isn't attractive. It's out of warranty. Can anyone give me a hint or a link for disassembly of this device?

Braun Razor: Anyone Else Having Battery Problems with the Braun CoolTec Razor?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help. I have an old Braun CoolTec electric razor I believe it's the CT2s model that's about 10 years old, and I'm looking to replace the battery because it got to the point that it only charges enough to give me 3 or 4 minutes tops of shaving time.

I've examined the device pretty thoroughly but can't seem to find any visible screws. The only access point I found is at the bottom where there is a little slot for a flat screwdriver to be inserted but when I insert one and try to use some force in any direction nothing really moves and it feels like the plastic around is going to brake. Has anyone ever opened one of these up and successfully swapped out the battery?

Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Oral-B Vitality: Oral-B Vitality Type 3709 only works for few minutes

Hi. I have this weird issue with new old stock of this 3709 model where it would work for few minutes or maybe longer without brush head attached. When it nearly starts to act up, the toothbrush is behaving like the battery is nearly empty where the metal end vibrates very weak until it stops. When it stops, I could hear some sort of humming sound. I tried to move the metal end left and right, it seems like the motor inside is struggling to work. It feels like it's trying to move to vibrate, but it failed.

I let the toothbrush off for few minutes and after that, it starts working again at full speed like fully charged battery until few minutes of using it that the metal end gradually gets vibrate weaker and eventually stopped working again. Note that I didn't put it in the charger. I let it cool down for a while and the cycle repeats. Hopefully someone can help me. Thank you.

Theragun: My charging dock had an electrical failure

I have a theragun pro G4 and my charging dock had an electrical failure too.

Does anyone have suggestions for an alternative method of charging these batteries? Based on the teardown, there are 4 18650 cells connected in series. The battery pack has 4 terminals B+, B-, NTC+ and NTC-. After a short search, the NTC contacts are for a thermistor to monitor temperature during charging and discharging. The cell says that it rated for 14.4V DC and the charger states that it outputs 16.4V from a 20V DC brick that is plugged into it with a barrel connector.

Does anyone know of a charger that is well suited for this kind of battery pack? Amazon does not have anything particularly promising.

Im hoping to design 3D print a new dock if I can find an appropriate charger. I would be happy to share my work with the community here too. There are lots of people with these issues.

Braun Razor: Rechargable battery - replace Li ion with NiMH?

I have a Braun shaver that needs a new battery. Thankfully this one doesn't have a soldered battery, it has a removable AA. The one that came out is generic (red covering, manufacturer wasn't anything I'd ever heard of). It does say it's Li ion, though. Meanwhile, the only rechargeable AAs I have are NiMH.

As far as I can tell the only difference is the NiMH has a much higher capacity (2300 mAh compared to like 750 for the old one). Is there any reason to think a NiMH wouldn't work?
