Makita XPH01: Why is smoke coming out of my drill?

My drill started getting hot, so I tried to let it cool down in between uses, but it still got very hot when I used it and eventually smoke started coming out the side and back. Smells like burning wire insulation or some type of plastic. Now the drill won’t turn. Is there some part I can replace? Or is it toast?

I have the ryobi p214 cordless drill and no matter what I cant remove the chuck. I took the screw out from inside the jaws and I put an allen wrench in and held it with the jaws. I managed to turn the chuck counter clockwise but it just barely spins without loosening at all. How can I get the chuck off?

i have a dewalt impact drill and the bit is stuck, im pretty sure i put the wrong bit inside and now its stuck and ive tried everything to get it out and its not working, is there a way to take it apart and then take it out or is the answer just brute force, i dont really want to damage the actual drill, i dont understand how its stuck to be honest, i think the drill holds the square type of drill bit and i put a smooth drill bit inside to do a quick job and did not have the normal drill, if anyone has any recommendations that would be awesome thank you

Bosch Hammer Drill: Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 Drill sparks and stops when on full power

Hi, I bought a Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 Cordless Combi Drill a year ago, a few weeks after I bought it when I fully pressed the trigger the motor would spark and the drill would stop. I lost the receipt so couldn’t take it back. Yesterday I bought the same drill (without the batteries) from Amazon, it does exactly the same, fully depress the trigger the motor sparks and the drill stops. The drill works fine IF I don’t fully depress the trigger. The batteries are fully charged. As this is happening in both drills is it supposed to happen?!!

I have a Dewalt DCD996BR 20V MAX XR Cordless. When I press the trigger, the drill starts spinning then stops and remains stuck. Pressing the trigger multiple times wont make it start unless tapping the drill. When the drill is stuck and I press the trigger, the lights near the battery turn on, but there is no responde from the drill. What could be the source of this? Also, the drill only stops when spinning to the left, but not the other way.

This like new powerful 1/2” Milwaukee 5380-21 corded hammer drill rarely will turn on. When it does, it seems full power. 120volt ac is ALWAYS measured on both sides of both brushes when switch is depressed, but only rarely will it run. It’s completely dead, no click, no hum, no heat, no smoke! Brushes look smooth and almost new. Armature appears smooth, but I have not dismantled. I’m convinced the switch is OK.
