Yaesu VX-6: Third digit of display is flakey

The third digit is sometimes missing segments, and not always the same ones. Ribbon cable? Display itself? Is there any guidance online for fixing this?

…I’m actually surprised this radio was listed.

According to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=di9keDlO... , this battery pack contains 2 x 18500 li-Ion cells, which sounds like a LOT better of a deal than the $70 replacement amazon wants to sell me.

However - the “scratch until you can open” method of getting in doesn’t feel… right?

Both halves of the FNB-80LI shell seem to be the same plastic. The battery pack in linked video seems to be missing a gasket - mine is a lot easier to take out than his seems to be.

Any suggestions with how to get this thing open?

Yaesu VX-6: Yaesu VX-6R won't turn on after fully charging

I fully charged my VX-6R and now it will not turn on. If I try it in the charging cradle, it makes a clicking sound but never turns on.

Yaesu VX-6: I need a cord for a shower radio.

I have an unbranded/generic shower radio I got on Wish.com. It is NOT aYaesu VX-6 , but there was no option for unbranded/generic.

I lost the power cord. Where can I locate another one, without having to buy another shower radio, and how much can I expect to pay?

I have included a picture of the radio, and the area where the plug goes-in.

ham radio: Cheap shielding from ham radio?

Hey not exactly a "computer" question but any idea of how to shield electronic devices (cell phone, wireless printer, tv signal box, etc.) from ham radio interference? Trying to be cheap and filing a civil suit is out for lack of money.
