HTC U11 Life: Battery replacement for HTC U11 Life

Hello,

I need a Battery replacement for the HTC U11 Life. However, I can’t find it anywhere.

Does anybody know where to find a battery replacement for this device?

If I can’t find a battery replacement, is there a way to start the device without the battery to recover the data?

Thanks,

Alex

HTC U11 Life: cracked screen (HTC u11 life)

Hello :)

Is there a tutorial about how to replace the screen on an HTC u11 life?

I just cracked mine and need to replace it :(

Also, I noticed I can order either the screen alone or the screen together with the frame (power and volume buttons). I’m wondering if the repair would be easier/harder if I order the screen+frame (since the price difference is only marginal).

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Best,

-a-

I guess there is no description or plan of the internal layout of the device available…

HTC U11 Life: does the battery of a water damaged phone need to be replaced?

The phone in question is actually and htc u11 not u11 life, but for some reason that isn’t an option

So I recently replaced my battery in the phone and then killed it in a hot tub. I have another u11 at my disposal that only needs a new screen and could do with a new battery. I have the new screen and am prepared to replace it, but I’m wondering if the new battery from the water damaged phone is good to go. Is there a good way to tell? There is some light corrosion on the solder and some deposits on the wrapping, but otherwise no visible damage. When I plug the battery into the phone and plug in the phone it says it is charging and with the new screen on it appears fully functional. I just don’t want to find out that the battery can’t hold a charge or will damage the phone somehow.

HTC U11 Life: HTC U11 Screen stopped working

Recently, I went on a flight and upon turning my U11 (U11 not U11 Life) back on after the flight, the touch screen no longer worked. However, the buttons at the bottom do still work. There are no scratches or cracks on the screen and before the flight the phone was functioning perfectly. I have tried manually restarting the phone, cleaning the screen and even factory resetting the phone with the help of an OTG adapter and USB mouse all to no avail. Mainly I'm just looking for advice as to whether it would be worth repairing or if I'm better off buying a new phone. If it is repairable what is the process I should look into doing? I look forward to any help you are able to give.

HTC U11 Life: Front Touch Screen Recent & Return Buttons Flex Cable Broken

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows where I could buy a replacement front “Recent & Back” touch sensor flex cable?

I managed to break the original transferring it to the new screen, then purchased one elsewhere that stated it was for the U11 LIFE but when I compared it to the original was completely different.

Every search I've done for this part shows a different flex cable than the original…

HTC U11 Life: Motherboard Heats Up with Only Battery Connected (HTC U11)

I've just attempted a screen repair on my HTC U11. I tested the new screen working before starting final reassembly. Once the screen was reassembled, and before closing everything up, I noticed the motherboard power circuit heats up considerably when the battery is plugged in. To make matters worse, the phone doesn't power on anymore like it did in testing. I isolated everything to just the motherboard and battery by removing the motherboard from the case completely and disconnecting all cables, including the front and rear camera. Plugging in the battery still results in heat from the motherboard, very close to the battery. I can touch with my finger, but gets uncomfortable after a minute or so. My question is this: what should be expected for heat with just a motherboard and battery? Should I expect a little or none at all. I'm assuming I have a short somewhere, but trying to figure out where things are going wrong that I can't turn on the phone. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

HTC U11 Life: I need some help solving my USB C port trouble

Yesterday, my port started to misbehave after a power blackout.

I've left the charger plugged into the phone in case the power came back.

After it did, I noticed the LED blinking red like it is charging but, when I opened the phone, the battery icon would change whenever the LED blinked.

Like it is charging but it's being interrupted or something.

From there it went downhill:

1- The headphones lag whenever I plug them in and when I plug them off, the phone still thinks that there are headphones plugged in.

2- As soon as I plug in the charger after the headphones lag, the phone immediately shuts down.

3- If the phone is turned off and I plug in the charger, the phone turns on. It's supposed to only charge and it's weird to do something like that.

Prior to to this problem there were two:

1- Charger: One side fast charge or regular charge and the other is slow charge

2- Headphones: One side excellent sound and the other requires port adjustment for excellent sound otherwise it would be disoriented.

And when I make or receive a call I can hear my voice through the mic. Is this also a problem or just a setting?

I can only charge the phone if the adapter is different (doesn't always work) or if plug the cable into a power strip USB port ( always works).

I didn't test the PC/Phone connection yet.

I have genuine HTC adapter, cable and headphones.

Today I've tried most of the cleaning method throughout various forums and it didn't fix anything.

I have tried the safe boo tand nothing really changed.

So is this a software or hardware problem?

And what should I do?

English isn't my first language so if something I've written didn't make sense please tell me.

Thank you.
