HTC Surround: Device will not go past 'htc' boot screen after being submerged.

After becoming submerged in salt water over a week ago, device will not boot past the initial white/green htc screen. I opened the Surround using the tear down guide & wiped around with an alcohol pad, hoping it was a simple bad connection. No luck.

Are there any further steps I can take before putting this in the recycle bin?

i had the phone on one day but it was messing up and wouldn't show my pictures so i turned it off and back on and i wont go past the htc screen. i called at&t and htc for help but thaty said its nothing they can do since i brought the phone on ebay. i hadn't even had it for a month yet an im inlove wit the phone plz help!!!!!

I have a HTC Surround, it's in pretty good condition and has never given me any problems. All of the stickers on the phone are still white, I do not think there is any water damage, however the phone does not turn on. I tried reinserting the battery repeatedly, and no luck.

I need some help here. When prying an old digitizer out I accidentally broke the cable. I ordered a new digitizer. The phone is now completely apart. Where do I find the connection to connect this cable?
