HTC One X Plus: Dead, except for 3 blinks

When I plug in the charger, the red LED flashes 3 times, but absolutely nothing else happens. The 3rd flash is a bit shorter than the first 2. Nothing on the screen whatsoever.

The phone draws 0,3 A during the flashes, then drops to zero.

All kinds of reset procedures have been tried, so this is most likely a hardware failure.

Being an electronics technician, I still want to attempt to repair. Any hint on where to start looking? The microscope reveals no visual damage, and I have no schematics.

HTC One X Plus: htc one x+ overheating and afterit goes off

why is my htc one x plus overheating and after it goes off so that the phone it self can also stop heating so it cools but it does not start the power unless u conect it to a charger so it can charge and there after you can power it bow, so what coz but the problem?

it goes off.. when you power it up it shows low battery level yet it was full, it over heats some times

HTC One X Plus: My device will not charge or power on

A few day ago my phone was running low on battery consequently it turned itself off, later I plugged it in to charge it and left it to charge for about an hour. I came back and pressed the power button and the phone would not turn back on.

So my question is, is there a way to fix this issue, would I have to replace the battery or is the fault elsewhere?
