HTC One M8: How do I get the cameras to work again?

I have had this phone for 2 months and both cameras stopped working. I try opening the app and it instantly dies and goes back to the home screen. Also on snapchat the screen shows up black and will not show anything that the lens would be showing.

HTC One M8: Device will not power on after battery ran dry?

My HTC One M8 will not charge or power up. The phone ran out of charge one evening (first time I let it do so, previously I had always put it on the charger prior to complete battery drain). I hooked it to the charger and the red "charging" LED would not turn on. I've tried several different chargers and power outlets, the phone is four months old, it's never been dropped nor has it ever been wet. I do not know if it is charging, as I have not been able to get it to power on since. The only odd thing I've noticed (besides it not functioning) is that when I plug the charger cable into the phone, an amber LED will light for a few brief seconds. I have tried a soft reset and I've also tried the steps for battery recalibration.

HTC One M8: Phone won't charge, charge slot burned

The other day charging my phone, my phone charger ended up burning my charging chip inside my HTC M8. The phone still works but when attempting to turn it on, the phone just keeps showing it is at 0% even with multiple different tries using different chargers. Looking inside the charging slot you can clearly see the chip is toasted. Is this replaceable and or fixable? I rather fix it, even if it's by someone else than to buy an entire new phone.

Thanks ahead

HTC One M8: Power button not working.

Hi, my girls phone recently started doing this weird thing where it appears that the power button is being pressed down even though the button isn't being press or stuck in the pressed position. I order a replacement part, the daughter board that has the power button on it and after I did it appeared to be working correctly. Then about a day or so later the power button stopped working all together. Not sure what the issue might be other than a bad part but I find it strange that it was working and then just went out all together.

HTC One M8: Rear camera's and flashlight not working

At first the camera app would just shut down, so of course I restarted the phone. Then the camera app was working but it was fixed in selfie mode. I was not able to use the rear camera or the flash light. The rest of the phone is working just fine but I can't access the rear camera of the phone in apps either.

When I press the four circle icon the the camera app, it allows me to choose between the selfie cam (This one is selected) and adding a camera. When I choose to add a camera I get the option to add photo booth.

I already tried to restore the default camera setting but it didn't help.

HTC One M8: How to Replace Rear Camera Module?

Short story, my rear main camera on my HTC one m8 is faulty. I bought an oem replacement and will soon take apart my phone. Question is, how do I get the rear camera out of the duo camera set up? I know how to take out the motherboard etc, but In photos of teardowns it seems that the rear camera and the extra duo camera sensor are connected together, and I am unsure how to remove my faulty main camera and then install the correct one. If any body knows what needs to be plugged in or can present theories of what is needed to be connected for re-installation I would be very thankful. Thanks.

HTC One M8: Phone not powering on, only red charging light.

Hi there,

I have just bought a HTC One M8 that had many issues. It would not power on and when I plugged it in, half of what looked like a battery icon and then a load of colors appeared on screen (the display was damaged) I opened it up and replaced: the battery, the SD card and volume flex, charging port flex and LCD display. I put it all back together with no problems but now when I plug it in, all I get is a red light and nothing on the display. I thought the display could be defective because nothing was coming up so I plugged in the old one and I still get a blank screen. I have searched everywhere and I don't know what could be wrong. I have heard that if you charge it with a quick charge charger for 10minutes and hold some buttons down, you can re calibrate the board and it may turn on but I don't have a quick charge charger and have tried pressing the buttons with my standard charger and have had no luck. I would like to know what other people think before I buy a charger. Any ideas what's wrong?
