HTC Desire 820: Won't turn on - Orange blinking LED

Hi,

My HTC Desire 820 won't turn on. It was left unused during some time.

When I plugged it with the wall charger, the LED is blinking orange. I let the phone like this for 2-3 hours, unplugged it and try to turn it on, but it didn't work.

I opened the phone, disconnect and reconnect the battery, try to turn it on, nothing. Try to charge it, nothing.

I tested the battery with an multimeter, and it says ~3.9V. On the battery, it is written 3.82V

When I plugged the phone on my PC, a device called QHSUSB_BULK is detected.

HTC Desire 820: Battery Problems - Won't turn on

Hi,

I know this question is already here but my phone switched off and it hasn't switched on for like almost an hour now. It's currently on the charger and there's no light at all to indicate that it's charging. I tried the "press the volume up/down button + the power button" thing but nothing. Is it a lost cause? My phone has a non-removable battery.

Thanks.

HTC Desire 820: The LCD display is not turning on, tested with another LCD.

Hello, I have a HTC Desire 820 today and I have tried testing it with another LCD, it turns on but no display on the LCD, touch screen / digitizer works though. Could it be a faulty component IC / chip on the logic board? I have triple checked all flex cables, plugs, connectors. No signs of any water damage on there too, including logic board. The original / old LCD has no display too, never did when it came in.

HTC Desire 820: HTC Desire 820 randomly stops detecting the SIM card

Hi everyone, my old HTC Desire 820 has a problem. It randomly stops detecting the SIM card from yesterday (I checked another sim cards and another device, it's a smarthphone fault, not a sim card). I looked through various tips in google what could be the reason and how to fix them, but they didn’t help. I will add that sometimes for example for 2-3 minutes everything is okay the sim card works well and a moment later when I start using a smartphone I got info “No sim card, no service”. Any help would be appreciated.

HTC Desire 820: HTC Desire 820 orange LED constantly blinking - phone not turning on.

Hi everyone,

I'm struggling to get my old HTC Desire 820 (dual-SIM model) up and running again.

I've already replaced the battery (which had died out completely), the USB charging board (the complete board), AND the complete LCD display assembly...!!!

Now literally speaking, only the original mainboard remains...!

I tried to hard-reboot the phone using Vol-up + Power, and Vol-down + Power, but no luck :-( ..... the LED keeps blinking constantly (it doesn't blink and the handset shows no activity when I remove the battery and keep the charger plugged-in).

Any ideas or clues as to what may be wrong here...?

Thanks in advance!

PS: For more details and clarity, I’ve posted a video of this issue on YouTube at https://youtu.be/w_333ZaAikQ
