HTC Desire 816: Sim card holder broken, how to replace it.

Hi,

I tried cutting my micro sim card to a nano sim card for my HTC desire 816 but I didn't take the different thickness of the card into account. I inserted the sim card into the sim card holder and it got stuck, so I had to pull it out with force. Since then it doesn't read any sim card.

I ordered a replacement sim card holder on eBay. How do I install this new sim card holder?

i dropped my htc 816 the screen went dark(turned off almost), but i still can use the touch screen randomly(i cant see anything on the screen ) i even can answer phone calls, also the side buttons, speakers and mic is still working properly.

My microphone won't work unless I am using my headphones. My microphone doesn't work at all, i tried taking calls and making recordings but it detected no sound. But it works with the headphones plugged in. Any idea what is wrong??

The desire 816's jack doesn't seem super solid in the first place. However, my 816 fell on a hard floor and now when I plug in any headphones to the jack, the right side earphone doesn't work. This seems like an internal issue in the phone. Wonder if you all have any solution! Thanks!

Hi,

I use a htc desire 816g since feb 2015.My phone worked very well from Feb till May.

One afternoon, i was using both WI-FI and mobile data and was quickly shifting from one to the other to test a process speed. Suddenly my phone got hanged.

I switched it off to restart but it did not start till 5-7 minutes. When I opened the Flip cover, it took a minute and then turned on.

Since then whenever I turn off my mobile data or WI-FI, I get a modification "SD Card Unmounted Unexpectedly".

I gave it to the store where I bought it, he suggested to reboot it. So he did and gave it back to me. Still I am getting this problem.

Please help, I want my phone to work like it use to before. W#waiting for a fruitful reply.
