HTC: HTC Vive Wireless Adapter will not power on

Functioned well, until (about 3 months ago) it didn't. Now the Vive Wireless adapter may not turn on at random. Sometimes takes about 5 minutes after connecting the battery before finally powering on. Other times may not acknowledge power for days. :-( May or may not power back up if need arises to switch batteries for continued play. Or, may power up and shut off a few times before finally holding power to sync to my rig. No trauma to device. Changing USB cable(s) yields same result. Batteries fully charged. No issue with headset hardwired. Opening the adapter, noticed a pin hole to a button at the back of the device. (???) Prayed it was a reset... pushed the !&&* out of it of course. Once opened I found the right receiver micro-coax female connector totally missing from the end of the cable at the board. (?HUH... HOW?) Replaced with new MHF4 cable. Granted, this one does not quite mate as snug to the onboard male terminals. Nothing a little tape wouldn't secure. Suggestions for correct RF cable are appreciated. No other apparent sign of damage to boards or components. Though likely not, nor should that receiver cable be the culprit, power was restored after reassembly. Got a few weeks play out of it, albeit with some sporadic lag to powering on. Could live with that tho. At least it worked. Now... going on second day with no sign of power. My kid doesn't know yet... she's not gon like it. Much rather fix it than drop another $350 for another if I can help it. All great ideas and guidance, welcome!

HTC: HTC Vive Wireless error 10001.4128 and identifying SMD coax connector

Hey all, recently I got a Vive Pro with the Wireless Adapter system second hand, in fully working condition according to the seller. However, after installing the WiGig card into my system and connecting the wireless link box (antenna) to its SMA connector the Vive Wireless software gives me a "Wireless link box error", and the main window shows error code "Not ready (10001.4128)". After extensive troubleshooting* by myself, someone from a VR community, and HTC support it still gives the same error. My current theory is a hardware problem with the short cable connecting the card to the SMA connector on the PCI bracket (see photo) as this bracket was removed during transport. HTC support was not willing to give me the specifications for this part and redirected me to this forum instead.

Does anyone here know the connector and other specifications of this part of the WiGig PCIe card? Some dimensions: male O.D. is 1.4mm, female height 1.0mm, coax diameter 1.1mm. My current guess is the MHF3 or 5 connector.

*Troubleshooting included reseating the SMA cable, reseating the card, reinstalling the Wireless software including drivers, and even using a fresh install of Windows 10 21h2 which was recommended as known working by the community member.

My system specs are: R7 5700X3D, Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite, 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3200, EVGA RTX 2070, Windows 10 22h2 b19045.5371, chipset and GPU drivers latest as of 28-01-2025

HTC Vive Controller: Connected but not getting tracked by base station

One day I noticed my controller would occasionally stop getting tracked by the base station and my hand gets stuck in the air in game. Steam Vr said it was still connected.

So I looked some things up and opened it up and unplugged and re-plugged in stuff, I’m pretty sure I put everything back but still had the same result in it being connected but not tracked.

It’s been awhile since I last tried fixing it but now been around longer so maybe there’s a new fix out there.

HTC Vive XR Elite: Any word on HTC Vive XR Elite Left Inner Temple Covers?

It seems these inner temple cover pieces are the literal weak points of the Vive XR Elite. 2nd break of the device. The left side broke the same as the right did before, where the speaker is placed and the plastic gets thin. No drops, just resting head pressure on chair. What's the update on getting any more HTC Vive XR Elite Left Inner Temple Covers? The outer covers you had at the time or this message, I was wondering if the Inner Covers are already ordered and back ordered. I've already had to replace the right side, now I have to replace the left. Just not enough plastic around the speakers, hopefully they can do something about it with the replacement parts, but that's on HTC.
