HP Elite x3: How to change the broken rear camera shield?

Hello,

My rear camera glassy shield has been broken, and I want to change this shield

I contacted HP support and they asked for 400$, to replace the phone entirely, actually they said because of IP67 standard, we can not replace the shield, and we will replace your phone

I canot afford that, and yet I want to fix the rear camera shield, what should I do?

HP Elite x3: Screen Stops Working after Reassembling; What Is Going Wrong?

On the surface, it seems straightforward: HP has posted not only the Maintenance and Service Guide for this device but also a video on how to replace the screen.

Maintenance and Service Guide

Replacement Demo Video

All appears straightforward enough, and it has been done before (by a chain store) on a device I have (screen removal is also required in order to replace the battery), but now when doing this battery replacement myself something is happening when I reassemble the device that causes the screen to (apparently permanently) stop working.

I am not new to working with electronics, and replacement screens work when attached loosely and test booting, but once the device is fully reassembled, the display is dead and no longer works.

The device is otherwise still fully functional, as it works as expected when connected to an external monitor. I now have three dead displays. Everything appears to align with the video and service guide, so I wouldn’t think anything shorted out.

There is a small section on the that is not covered/insulated by tape, but it came this way and seems to be fairly standard across these displays (c.f. top red ellipse in image).

Is there something that happens or gets loosened with the cable that is attached to the back of the display (c.f. yellow circle in image)?

I’m normally not hesitant to work with electronics, but I’m afraid to try much more with these at the moment because I have no idea what is causing them to fail, and displays aren’t exactly a cheap part.

HP Elite x3: Why wont my HP Elite X3 Cell Phone Charge?

My HP elite x3 that is only 14 months old abruptly quit charging without warning, port appears fine. If anyone knows where I can start looking for basic fix or even where I can take/send for repair would be greatly appreciated. I really like the device and with Windows leaving this world for awhile (hopefully not forever) I dont have many options.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

HP Elite x3: Glass shattered after 1-foot fall into dirt

So apparently HP isn't yet selling any sort of damage protection plan OR replacement screen. Day three of owning the HP Elite X3, it slid off my lap to the dirt and the supposedly "shatter resistant" screen shattered into a thousand shards. I think this should be considered a product defect and they should repair it for me, but they want to replace it for half the original cost. Is there ANY way I can just get the glass replaced? This gizmo is so new, I can't find a local who will do it.
