My screen is black while the laptop is on. I have tried pressing every key on my keyboard any clicking around with my touchpad, but nothing seems to be working.

HP TouchSmart 15-r015dx: Screen showing multiple flickering circles on right side of screen

My screen is displaying flickering circles in the right side of the screen that draw the mouse pointer directly to them causing no functionality of the mouse. The memory is showing close to maximum; space available on the hard drive. Force “hard” restart sometimes clears up the flickering enough to log in a function for a random amount of time (range: 5 min - over 1 hour).

HP TouchSmart 15-r015dx: Is there any way to add a Firewire port to this Hp PC?

I have an HP 15-r011dx and I’m wanting to use my Canopus ADVC-100 to hook up to my old VCR to convert old VHS tapes to DVDs. Problem is: the Canopus requires a computer that has at least a Firewire 400 port. I’ve seen the firewire ports available to install for other PCs, I just have no idea where it would go on THIS PC. If anyone has any ideas I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks!

P.S. If all else fails w/the PC, I could always use my MacBook Pro which has a FW 800 port, so…

My S Key Broke off and i lost a piece of the key that wont allow me to put it back on my keyboard. Where is the best place to take it in to get it fixed? Or can i order the piece online and do it myself? Just want to know my options.
