I was updating drivers when the system cracked and I reinstalled new OS. Thereafter, it crashed again, same updating. Now it's not accepting the installation of new OS and it runs on Win 8 or 8.1.

I have this used model and it doesn't have a installed wwan card but have antenna connections and a sim cart slot. I'm thinking of installing new wwan card here but is Modem WWAN HP LT4120 Snapdragon X5 LTE Modem 4G and only wwan card accepted here?

Sometimes it will charge for a short time, then all of a sudden it stops charging.

Different connector cables have been used to eliminate the possibility of a malfunctioning connector cable. Thank you.

HP Elite x2 G1 1012: Buttons don't click when the case is on?

So this question is a bit of a follow up to a question I've asked about this laptop here. I've successfully replaced the motherboard on this laptop with very little issue and everything is working hunky dory right now.

However, my dear laptop has taken a few tumbles since I've done the replacement (largely due to some pesky kitty cats trying to get my attention). At one point, it hit the ground so hard it blue-screened! After trying to curb these incidents, I resigned myself to buying a case to put over my laptop so that way I can at least keep it safe when it inevitably falls over again.

I ended up buying a case like this to put on my laptop screen and it's really hefty. I think it'll be pretty good protection for my laptop. The only problem that I've been having with it is that when the case is on my laptop, I'm not able to press the buttons to turn on the laptop or to adjust the volume. I'm assuming it's because the buttons themselves are too thin and there's too much space between the buttons on the case and the buttons on the laptop. Is there a way to modify the case so I can press the buttons easier? Or would it be safe to stick some tape on the buttons so they're easier to press with the case on?

The tablet is broken the screen separated from the device, and the battery is separating from the back. Will the printer still print without having the tablet able to attach and work? I had the printer and tablet in storage for several years, so it needs to be added to with software/ drivers. Will I need to tablet to setup the printer as well? Also where can I buy a replacement for the tablet? used or new?

HP Elite x2 G1 1012: Tablet does not boot with replacement battery.

My unit’s original battery is faulty. HP Hardware tests show that 1 cell has gone bad.

The tablet boots OK with original battery when connected to AC adapter.

I have tried to install the replacement aftermarket batteries from 2 different suppliers, but the issue is the same with both - the tablet does not boot. Batteries look same and part numbers correspond to the original part.

When turned on with the aftermarket battery - white LED lights on when connected to AC and the keyboard backlight turns on for a minute, but no start screen on any other signs of life are visible.

Did anyone else have this problem?

Are batteries somehow paired to the device, or i was just lucky to get 2 faulty batteries in a row?

Also - recommendations on sources of known working batteries are very much welcome and appreciated.

My laptop fails to response to touch input, in short, no touch at all while the display works fine.
