<title><![CDATA[HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15t-eb100: Laptop crashes while waking from sleep while on battery]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi folks - I recently replaced my laptop battery on the hp spectre x360.  Battery seems to do fine while the computer is up and running - steady orange light when it is charging, steady white light when it is full.  However, when I boot from shutdown or wake from sleep, it shuts down and won't start up when on battery power - I need to be plugged in for that.  It crashes just as it is waking up.</p>

<p>HP Hardware Diagnostics and Windows power diagnostics aren't turning up anything, and no updates to the firmware from what I can see in the device manager.  At my wits end, any help would be much appreciated!  Thanks!</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Spectre x360 15-df0000 Series: Warning about non-HP replacement battery on boot]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Since HP does not make an OEM replacement battery for HP Spectre x360 laptops, I purchased a non-HP battery from iFixit for a HP Spectre x360 15&quot; 15-df0013dx. The battery is <strong>HP SU06XL</strong>. It installed fine and charges and works fine, but on each boot a BIOS like screen appears saying it's a non-HP battery.  Then you either wait like 10 seconds or press enter to continue booting.  Is there any way to stop this warning?  It's not the end of the world but I would like to get rid of that warning if possible. Thanks.</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Spectre x360 15" (15t-ap000): Edge of motherboard damaged by screwdriver, now won’t power on.]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>A customer of mine attempted to replace his own internal laptop battery and now it won’t power up in any way.</p>

<p>When taking the bottom cover off, I found that a hinge support screw was loosened that was partially below the edge of the motherboard causing a circular gouge in the motherboard.   At closer inspection, I saw several layers of copper traces along the gouged edge.  See photos below.</p>

<p>Would important traces be this close to the edge of the PCB that carry current to the CPU, etc.?  Is this likely the cause of the power failing to turn on?   (If so, obviously a new motherboard would be needed to be replaced, not worth the older laptop.)</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP spectre x360 15t df100b: It makes me crazy]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I bought a HP spectre x360 df100 b last year holiday</p>

<p>Everytime I open or close the lid it makes a very slight clicking noise</p>

<p>I return the lap top and ask for repair</p>

<p>They told me it's not a big deal and it won't effect the laptop performance</p>

<p>I get along with it</p>

<p>But since last month it starts to make another weird noise</p>

<p>At first I thought it's a hinge problem</p>

<p>But when I push the top left corner of lap top hard it won't make the noise</p>

<p>So I assume that wasn't the hing problem</p>

<p>But still I am not sure what is it and</p>

<p>it makes me crazy !</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15 (15t-df100): Is the memory in the 15T-DF100 Soldered On]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>In the HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15 (15t-df000) Unboxing Teardown video you show RAM being replaceable.  HP has updated the model (15t-df100) with the 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake chips.  Does anyone know if the RAM is soldered in these new models?  I haven’t open the computer yet but will if the RAM is replaceable.</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Spectre x360 15-bl012dx: Looking for replacement battery.]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>I’ve had my <strong>HP Spectre x360 15-bl012dx</strong> for nearly 10 years and am still very happy with it. However, a few weeks ago, it stopped charging. I suspect it might be the main battery and possibly the CMOS battery as well, since all the BIOS settings reset when I unplug the laptop.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, I’m having trouble finding a replacement. The battery isn’t listed on <strong>iFixit</strong>, and while I’ve found some options on Amazon, I’m hesitant to order one. Often, the images don’t match the battery model (<strong>HP KB06XL</strong>), or the specifications in the description don’t align.</p>

<p><strong>My questions:</strong></p>

<ul><li>Does anyone know if a different battery model would be compatible?</li><li>Can anyone recommend a reliable online store where I can purchase this specific model?</li></ul>

<title><![CDATA[HP Spectre x360 15-df0000 Series: Need help finding replacement fan for HP Spectre x360 15]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>TL;DR at the bottom</p>

<p>So I have an HP Spectre 15 Convertible (15-df1033dx) that I bought in Jan 2020 but I'm pretty sure it is from a late 2019 run.</p>

<p>The left fan (the one for the GPU) has been rattling for the past year and is now just quiet. Also, the battery life has been falling (probably due to my poor habits of keeping it plugged in and charging at 100%), and the touchpad (which is on top of the battery) has been bulging up slightly so I'm pretty sure it should be replaced.</p>

<p>I've tracked down the part numbers for the left fan (L38107-001) and the battery (L29184-005). I found an <a href="https://www.ebay.com/itm/393991309155" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">eBay listing</a> for the battery that seems pretty good, but I can't seem to find a good source for the fan. I've found something on a site called notebookparts.com but it doesn't exactly look reliable.</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15t-eb100: win 10 install but no drives were detected and trackpad does not work]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Tried to install Windows 10 on HP specter but when I try to select were I want to install Windows no drives show up just a message saying &quot;We couldn't find any drivers. to get a storage driver, click load driver.&quot; This is a new and only SSD in the computer.</p>

<p>I tried getting the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers  but the windows installer did not recognize them on the usb (I saw this was a solution others tried on different websites so thought i would give it a try).</p>

<p>Also the trackpad is not working in the windows installer so I have been navigating with the keyboard and an external mouse.</p>

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.</p>
