HP Probook 4425s: PC won't turn on with or without charger, battery lamp blinking white

I got a notification to replace the laptop battery, so I bought a new battery and adapter. But the laptop wouldn't turn on without charger plugged in, so I plugged in the charger. When charging, the indicator tells it is charging but the battery percentage doesn't increase nor decrease, so I always plug in the charger when I'm using laptop. Every time I plug in the charger, the laptop suddenly turns itself on without me pressing the power button. Then a few days later my laptop wouldn't turn on with or without a charger/battery. Every time I connect the charger, the battery light only blinks white.

I left my laptop for days and after that, I tried to turn it on again with the battery and connected to the charger, it worked, the laptop turned on. But after a while it turns off itself again and when I want to turn it on the same thing happens again, the laptop doesn't turn on and the battery light flashes white. I have try with the old AC and battery, but it is the same, blinking white battery light. Even though I removed the battery, the laptop should be able to turn on if it is connected to a charger, right?Does someone know what went wrong? Please help me.

Actually my laptop is HP Probook 5220m.

HP ProBook 4530s: Scummy Business Practice prevents Linux Install

Hi there!

I would like to ask if someone could help with the following issue?

I have a HP probook 4530 that I want to install Linux on, which I thought would be pretty easy, except little did I know that after installing Linux (And wiping the hard drive) I would not be able to anymore gain access to the laptops BIOS.

"The reason is that the BIOS was a UEFI type. A UEFI BIOS has a component that is on the hard disk. You wiped it with the "safe erase". That is why it won't invoke with the F10 keystroke."

Info on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-O...

Having blundered into that mistake, the next fix I tried was using a (Windows + B command while holding the power button)

Using info from this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Bo...

This "useful" suggestion seems to have totally bricked the laptop :(

So with battery In, out, both with AC power and pressing the Power button only gives my 8 orange blinking lights, no screen turn on, no beeps, just the orange LED....

Is there anyway (By means of Software, hardware or both) that a person could fix the problem? My main objective is to use the laptop (Which is still in excellent condition) with Linux, its just HP been a bunch of A holes that is preventing me extending the life of this laptop.

HP ProBook 4540s: Why does my laptop suddenly switch off?

I've had this laptop for about 3 years, but this problem surfaced about 4 months ago. The laptop will suddenly switch off, and will make a high pitched "click" noise as soon as the screen turns black. The "click" sound as best as I can describe, sort of sounds like a fingernail flicking the power button, but more high-pitched and mechanical.

I timed the intervals between each turn-off and it is about 25-30 minutes.

When pressing the power button once, sometimes it will light up (along with the other lights of the laptop) and then will switch off, then will light up again and the computer will start up normally. I use windows 10.

The power supply has been replaced, the battery changed, power cable changed, the inside has been cleaned, I've scanned for viruses, and I had even reset all settings and data on the laptop.

My apologies if I missed an obvious solution, I'm not the best when it comes to technology!

I stopped using it for a few months because the problem got so irritating, and the problem had stopped for a short while. The issue has returned and I would appreciate any help/suggestions.

Thank you!
