HP ProBook 450 G7: My Fan is trying to start but it's failing

My fan is failing to start it keeps throttling but doesn't start. I tried cleaning it and got a lot of dirt out but I know the dirt wasn't the problem so what is?

I also attempted using wd40 on it but it also didn't help so I think it might be something with the fan or something else maybe.

HP ProBook 445 G8: Black screen and blinking Caps-lock

I have an HP ProBook 445 G8 from 2021 or 2022 running Windows 11. I've ran into an issue where the system won't boot, instead giving me a black screen, the light of the F5-key (mute) is on and the Caps-lock key blinks 5 times slow, then the fans start audibly spinning.

I have already tried putting the RAM stick in the other slot (a friend of mine with the same system had a similar issue when the RAM turned out to be loose) but to no avail. It also sometimes does boot (I haven't found a pattern to that) but it doesn't take long for it to cut to black again. Lastly I have found that the laptop will often boot after hitting the left half of the keyboard.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much in advance.

HP ProBook 430 G8: Unknown SMD component, now melted on motherboard

Hi,

I am trying to identify a component on my HP Probook 430 G8 laptop Motherboard. I accidentally shorted the battery to this component.

Motherboard :

Model X8P

Year 2020

DA0X8PMB8F0 Rev: F

See photos of the component. I have lifted a trace when cleaning the area, but I believe it is fixable. I bought a 2nd laptop to try and help me get the first one working. I de-soldered what what looks to be the same component from the donor laptop.

The component is an 0603 from measuring 1.6mm between the solder tabs.

I used my DER EE DE-5000 LCR meter and get:

0.5 millihenry

0.010 milliohms

0.9 to 1.1 nanofarads

I am not sure what to order. It doesn't look like a capacitor, the resistance seems to low to be a resistor, and I can't find 0.5 millihenry inductors..... can you please help me order the correct part?

Broken laptop (Below)

(The orange led at the charge port fades in and out as orange)

Donor board whose part I measured. (Below)

I have now MAYBE identified the mosfet that is connected to the component.
