HP Photosmart c4780: Why is my printer stuck on the screen with the HP logo?

The printer is stuck on the HP logo and the blue buffering bar. It isn't getting past it and I'm so disappointed because I need to use it for scanning. It's a great scanner! Please help me in resetting the printer hardware or whatever it needs!!

HP Photosmart c4780: How to make copies with only black ink cartridge installed

My friend has this printer and she can print with just the black ink cartridge installed. But when she tries to use the copier function, she can’t cancel the error message indicating that no color ink cartridge is installed. “OK” is not lit up so you can’t select it and cancel the error message to select the copy option. Can this printer make copies with only the black ink cartridge installed? Thanks for any suggestions.

My printers display says "Print cartridge problem". I have cleaned the cartridge contacts, as well as the encoder strip. I'm not sure what to try next.

HP Photosmart c4780: Scan Failure on second attempt.

I can print one copy after I turn the printer on. A second attemp will give me a “Scan Failure”. I restart the printer and the same thing happens. If I try to Scan, I get the overview ok but The scan failure comes up if I try to scan. I looks like the scanner is not returning to the idle position after a first scan.

Ok so I needed an inkjet printer to print my designs onto some iron on designs and when I printed it all out and went to iron it on it wouldn't transfer over. My colleague said it was because it wasn't printed using an inkjet printer. My printer says its ink type is inkjet. Why is it not working?
