HP Pavilion g7-1150: hinge on the case broke the plastic

the case on my pavillion g7 broke due to the hinge would not move and broke the top of the case on the left side when i opened the computer it disconnected the wire to the screen . i have two questions can i get a new top for the computer where the keys are and can the wire be reconnected so the screen comes on

I am able to login by computer but it remains as a black screen with the White mouse on it, I believe it is because of automatic updates. I've tried to change data on safe mode. I'm too scared to reset my laptop or refresh it as I don't want to loose my Microsoft windows. Any help would be appreciated! I'm not a computer expert and probably shown

I unassembled laptop to change hinge after reassemble screen has an image across middle looks like a computer part like ribbon think I assembled correctly when I move mouse goes underneath it any suggestions
