HP Pavilion dv4: How do I get my screen centered?

My screen shifted to the left side, leaving 3 inches on the right black and 1 inch on bottom black. I've tried everything to get it back to normal screen size.

hi.

i recently purchased this laptop on craigslist and when i received it the finger scanner is on. so now i am unable to enter the laptop because it's asking for the password and or finger to be swipped. the person whom i bought from just said is now M.I.A- missing in action!

so if someone can help me or direct me that would be greatly appreciated.

When I put movies in the DVD tray it tries to open up on "interactual Player" and will not play. But many programs on here that were uploaded by the person before me seem to not work for this laptop. Does any one know what program the DVDs should be playing on so I can upload it?

Should I have my screen replaced or is there anything I can try before I take it to a repair shop? My computer powers on but the screen is black (off). The white lights above the scroll button & the caps lock button blink, but that's all that happens.

Hello, I am using an HP Pavilion DV4000 laptop, but it lags even while watching YouTube. I use 1gb and 256mb ram, the processor is Intel pentium 1.67ghz HDD, it is very slow and that's why I want to install an SSD instead of HDD. Is it possible to replace these parts? Which components do it support the most?
