HP Pavilion g4-1117dx: Long beeping tone when booting then starts after several seconds

When i press the power button the system turns on but has a blank screen and a long beeping sound then after a few second like 7 to 8 seconds later the screen lights up and the system boots up.

I have an HP pavilion that is not connecting to the internet. I trouble shooted, restarted the computer, connected it to the Ethernet cord, and made sure there weren't any needed updates. Still, nothing works. Everyone else in the house is able to connect to the internet besides this computer.
