HP Pavilion 15-cd040wm: Help with Laptop Keyboard Replacement

I'm having trouble finding a replacement for my laptop's keyboard. All the keyboards I've found have a similar ribbon cable but seem to have more connections than the one installed in my laptop.

Do the extra connections mean that the keyboard won't be compatible with my laptop even though the ribbon cables plug into the motherboard?

HP Pavilion 15-cd040wm: spilled water on my laptop, now I cant put in my password

Hi,

Yesterday I accidentally spilled water on my laptop. I dried it off with paper towels and it showed that there was no operating system ( windows 10), I was able to get the operating system back on my laptop and use the laptop. However last night I wasnt able to put in my password when i load up the laptop. The keys seem to be stuck and I cant type in the letters it lets me put in a couple of letters but not all of the password. I turned off my laptop and left it last night. This morning I tried again and wasnt able to put it in again. I turned off my laptop and put it on its side with a towel underneath. I cant take the keyboard or battery out. Does anyone have any suggestions? thank you .

HP Pavilion 15-cd040wm: I spilt water, now the screen won't turn on

I spilt water on it this afternoon. Then I used it for about 10 minutes and then i restarted it with an update. It took ages so I left it to update but it might have run out of charge. Then I went to turn it on and It wouldn't work so I charged it for a while and then the light on the on button turned on but the screen didn't. It has been tiring itself on and off for about an hour. But the screen is still black. We tried drying it with a hair dryer but are scared if frying something. What should I do?
