HP OMEN 16 Series: Battery not charging despite buying replacement

After getting back from a trip, my laptop that was working fine previously (unplugged) was not turning on and blinking white 3 times when plugged in. After buying and replacing the battery and preemptively discharging the computer, I try it again and it boots up... But with 0% (Not Charging). After running a diagnostic test in BIOS, i got a Charger Port test failed. All my drivers are updated, and everything else passed the diagnostic. Would it be possible that replacing the power jack would fix it? my computer model is k0000 (594k2av)

HP OMEN 15-ce198wm: It doesn't stop rebooting.

The problem started 2 years ago when i got a sudden message that my Windows license has expired and then it started auto-repairing to show a blue screen that says there has been an error while fixing the system and it gives me the option to restart the laptop (which leads to this exact screen) and to reboot the system and install Windows again (which i have been doing for the past 2 years). The problem is that after everything is done after a couple of days of it working properly (with a Windows license and all) suddenly a blue screen with a sad face comes up and says there has been an error and the whole process starts all over again. I've had a professional take a look at it but he just did what i did (put a Windows in it) and after a couple of days it had the blue screen again. Can someone please help a girlie out with this because I'm starting to crashout.

This thing fell into my possession about a month ago, so I don't really know its full history other than 'it won't turn on'.

It's not that it just won't turn on, the charging light (the little LED near the power plug in HP laptops) doesn't even light up. I've tried a new AC-IN plug and that didn't make a difference.

I have a 200W HP-brand power adapter, which gives out the appropriate juice.

Hp omen 16: My laptop doesn’t turn on after replacing SSD

Getting straight to the point because Ive spent the last 5 hours messing with my hardware to identify why laptop doesn't turn on after trying to replace the SSD.

Before taking out the SSD I shut down my laptop completely and removed all USB connections and disconnected the battery.

After replacing the SSD I reconnected the battery and attempted to turn on the laptop and it failed to turn on. At first I thought it’s because i didn’t plug in the AC adapter but even after i plugged it back in nothing. No LED charging light, no power button LED, no screen boot up.

I figured that I had made a mistake in the process so again I disconnected all USB and power cables, pulled the battery RTC cable, replaced the SSD with the original one and put it back together just for the same issue to arise.

At this point I thought I might have accidentally unplugged something internally, so I inspect the motherboard for burns or damage, look for unplugged electrical cords, and I found nothing wrong. I’ve read guides for this issue and nothing has worked so far, I suspect either the AC adapter is broken or my battery decided to retire. Either that or my entire motherboard is cooked, I don’t have to have a multimeter to check so I can’t confirm where the issue lies.

At this point it’s late and I’m tired of messing with this laptop which worked perfectly fine this morning. It’s never had power issues before, no driver issues, no screen issues, nothing. I feel like this is my laptops way of retaliation for all the days I’ve left it on overnight.

Any advice would be appreciated on how to fix this mess or what parts I need to get replaced in order for it to work again.

HP OMEN 16 Series: HP OMEN 16-b1016ns - About heat dissipation

Hi, I have a HP Omen 16-b1016ns notebook (I7-12700H, 16GB, 1TB SSD and RTX 3060). A few days ago I opened it to do maintenance, since the thermal paste was a little dry, I solved that easily but I had doubts about the thermal gel (researching in another publication I saw that they call it that) found in the vram and the rest of the components. I didn't touch that thermal gel, I simply placed the thermal paste where it belonged and screwed the heatsink.

My doubts:

Once opened, does the thermal gel lose effectiveness?

If it becomes necessary, what size thermal pad should I use as a replacement? (I doubt I can find that gel in my country).

Does the motherboard have thermal sensors near those components? (To know how much confidence I can have in the software).

What thermal gel do you recommend?

So far the notebook did not present any problems, even after the Furmark and CPU-Z tests.

HP Omen 15-ax280nd: Screen not displaying despite backlight being active.

So I've had my laptop for a while now and today has been the first time this has happened, which is rather worrying for me.

My laptop screen was working just fine as I was online, but in the middle of my game it's suddenly cut out and gone to a black screen. The back light for the screen still is working and the laptop itself seems to be running fine, but aside from that it's just a blank screen which doesn't even display my mouse.

I've tried most of the software things I can think of like a hard reset, but it hasn't sorted things out and I don't know why this is happening. Could it be a hardware thing?

HP Omen 17-an000 Series: Troubleshooting and fixing replacement laptop battery installation

Bought a replacement FM08-12pin for my HP Omen laptop because the old battery wasn't charging. It got to the point where I couldn't even run the computer plugged in.

When I installed the new battery, I definitely bent a pin. I gently coaxed it back into place, and I believe they are all fine, but I've never gotten the laptop + battery working. I plug it in to let it charge, but it never seems to charge. My power supply shows 19.5V (which is correct) but my kill-a-watt meter shows it drawing only 0.01-0.04 amp. The led next to the power socket on the laptop lights for a few minutes, then goes out.

I've searched for, but not found, the pinout for this battery.

I'm wondering if the problem isn't even the battery, but the electronics between the power socket and the battery.

Any advice on how to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated!
