HP Officejet Pro 6835: Officejet Pro 6968 no black

I have a Officejet Pro 6968 series printer. It is not printing in black. I put in a new black HP cartridge. The color appears to be ok. I have tried to copy something and get a blank page. I have tried to print and nothing except color comes out.

I have tried several cleanings and alignment. The printer doesn’t print in black.

My printer stopped printing and a message appeared the there is a printhead problem.

How can I clean the printhead to see if it will work before replacing it?

I have a code on my printer that reads paper jam or repair/replace ink. I replaced all ink, checked all paper access points. No jam and full of ink. Code still remains. Any info would be much appreciated.

I had replaced the print head but I am getting the calibration failed message. The printer also prints blank pages.

Hello - I have a 6830, not a 6835.

In the past, when I opened the printer lid, the printer carriage would move from its “parked” location on the far right to the center so I could change the ink cartridge. Now, the printer carriage stays in the parked location. Is this caused by an inoperative “lid sensor”? Could really use some help…

the drop down into the paper tray paper feed wheels don’t turn so paper doesn’t feed.
