HP Officejet 4500 Wireless: Why does my printer not recognize a new print cartridge?

The printer continually tells me my HP 901 color cartridge is empty -- even after I have just replaced it -- and refuses to print in color. The black cartridge gives it no trouble. Is it possible that the contacts for the color cartridge are fouled or damaged in some way?

I have an HP laptop I bought about 4 yrs ago with an HP office jet 4500 wireless. After working ok for yrs, the computer now cannot communicate with the printer. I have checked connection, checked printers and devices. When I click on HP solutions it says 'printer not connected' when it obviously is. What now? I'm really not in the mood to buy another device. Can I repair the wireless card on the printer if that is the issue?

I have new ink cartridges in the printer, and when it is cued to print, all seems to be normal.

However, when the paper is ejected, instead of having the printed copy on it, it is totally blank.

My printer is not picking up the paper when it goes to the printer. It keeps a loud scrubbing noise when it goes to the printer. The computer is not recognizing the printer. The printer is in an error state. It is giving an out of paper error message. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello, I noticed that whenever I turn on my printer, it makes this very loud banging sound. I managed to narrow it down to a broken tooth on the rack the scanner light goes across, as shown in the picture. Is there a way to replace it or get it repaired? Also, this isn't the wireless model, but there is no device listing for the plain one.
