HP EliteBook 8560p: Why Is My CPU Clock Speed Very Low When Plugged In?

Hello,

I have been using an HP EliteBook 8560p for a while now. It performs tasks very well when on battery power, but when plugged in, it becomes unresponsive and unusable. It was hard to get the task manager screenshot, but I managed.

For some reason, the CPU is at 0.11 GHz when plugged in, but it goes to around 1 GHz (an average speed on the desktop with all apps closed) when on battery power. Can anyone explain and help me solve the significant slowdown of the CPU when plugged in? Thanks.

Here is a picture @oldturkey03,

I decided to check the motherboard's make and model from Windows, and the make is Hewlett-Packard with the model number 1618.

HP Victus 15: No signs of life besides the LED light indicating that it's charging

My HP Victus 15 has been dead for a couple of days now, the power button doesn't show any light when I press it, doesn't turn on at all, there are no sounds or heat coming from the laptop, only the LED light that indicates that it's charging.

I've tried holding the power button, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery etc, etc. I'm not sure what to do. Is it a motherboard or hard drive problem? If so; then I'm royally screwed.

HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3: HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3 - No power, no charging light even after battery disconnect and hard reset

My HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3 will not power on and will not charge. When I plug in the charger, there is no charging indicator light. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps with no success:

- Tested with multiple known-good chargers and different wall outlets.

- Tried both USB-C charging ports on the laptop.

- Performed a hard reset by opening the laptop, disconnecting the internal battery, and holding the power button for 15+ seconds to drain residual power.

- Attempted to power the laptop on with the battery disconnected and only the AC adapter plugged in, but there is still no light and no power.

Since there is no light even with the battery bypassed, I suspect a motherboard or DC-in port issue. Are there specific fuses, MOSFETs, or charging ICs on this board known to fail that I should check?

HP Pavilion 15-eh: HP Pavilion 15-eh back cover stuck at the bottom edge after removing all screws

I am trying to remove the back cover of my HP Pavilion 15-eh. I have removed all six screws, including the four hidden ones under the rubber feet (the 6.6mm black screws) and the two visible 4.8mm silver screws.

The top edge near the hinges is opening up, but the bottom edge (near the trackpad) is completely stuck. I am using a plastic card to try and pry it, but it feels like it's caught on something and won't pop loose.

Are there any clips or hidden fasteners on the bottom edge that I should be aware of? Any tips for releasing this specific edge without breaking the plastic?
